I was expecting to see some small stones (maybe a carat or below) when I read ''baby gem'', but wow they are not quite ''baby'' in SIZE

My favourite is also the spinel!!!!! My goodness, you have such beautiful pink stones! I have never actually seen a pink topaz in person, though. Well, I have... but it was coated.

WOW Really!!!

I bought this towards the end of 2008?? Same stone??

That was an interesting night when I got that stone! I am in Sydney Australia and I waited till 2am to see the cut stone and then Dan gave me 2 hours to make up my mind. I had to ask my boyfriend (of the time) if it was ok, but I couldn''t call him.. So I bought it. Dan said there were loads of people in line for it, including gem collectors from Japan!

Well!!!

Let me whip the ol'' photoshop out and show you!

This is dreamland though... unfortunately. I am getting married in January and then I want a big honeymoon and we need to buy a house too!!! So that is where all the cashola is going!

But!!!

The first to be set would be the topaz. (on a side note, FH said that the difference he makes trading in his car for his new car can be used to get a diamond band) He made 2.5k

So that is to set the topaz!!!!

Now how to acutally set it!

I am going to start a new thread with options and people can vote!

Then at the end of the year FH agreed to set the Garnet. I asked him several times if he was sure (because its right near our wedding) and he said he was.

Then after that I want to set the spinel, in either a 5 stone (like Erica Grace''s LM former ring) or a 3 stone with Tapered baguettes.
