Anyone ever heard of a lazars diamond?

I believe what you're asking about is the Lazare Kaplan line of diamonds. Use the search function and simply type in Lazare and you'll pull up loads of threads on them.

Good Luck.

Lazare Kaplan is an industry icon. He was the cutter Harry Winston selected to cleave the Jonker, the inventor of the modern oval and a proponent of premium cut. Incidentally, he learned the art of diamond cutting from his cousin... Any consumers know who that was?

I''m just going to guess here John. Any chance it was Tolkowsky??

Rod beat me to it.

18 years ago, when diamond shopping for my wife, I stumbled into these makes, and became aware of what I wanted with them. I think they''re lovely, suppose they''re approximately as good as the fine makes otherwise also available in discussions heard on this board, and for a significant premium at that...but no less nice.

Nah........I have Tolkowsky on the brain as my pet rock as you know is a Tolkowsky style cut!! Thanks for letting me play John. Do I win a bigger discount when I call you guys to buy my earbling??

Seriously tho, every vendor here works hard to extend consideration to our PS people... An educated customer is our best customer.
