I am planning to propose Friday, and it is important to me to propose then, because my girlfriend is leaving for a several week expedition to the north pole (out of regular contact) the next day.

It has occurred to me though, that I may have chosen a ring size that is too small. (I''m not sure about this)

Should I propose with this ring as planned?

How difficult is it to get the size of a ring increased?

Thanks a lot

What kind of setting is it???

No problem going up or down. It''s quite simple to do. A no brainer. Good luck with the proposal!!!! I love that setting btw!!!

Since metal cuases body heat loss she may not want to take it with her anyway. The loss is minimal but she may also wnat to avoid losing it.

Wow the north pole! how exciting.
I just got back from working in the arctic circle. I was working on a small island near the north pole (It''s in nunavut, Canada)
I''m sure she''ll have a blast... she''s so luck she is going during the warm season. I couldn''t imagine going during the winter it is COLD!!
Out of curiosity... who is she going with? What is she doing?
All the best with your proposal!

You never know- fingers can shrink a lot when it''s cold out- so it may just fit perfectly when she is at the North Pole.

Good luck!

That''s tough. I remember when I proposed to my wife that one of the best things about proposing was the "aftermath" of it all. For days we both just sat around in awe over the whole experience, not too mention that you get to enjoy showing the ring off to friends and family members. You not only may miss out on that, but you also have to be away from each other for several weeks right after you propose. That''s a hard decision to make. The only advice that I can give is to go with what your heart tells you. Good luck.....
