My uncle's lighting design-fabrication firm (far from a huge operation) is one of the businesses that Trump stiffed. They didn't suffer as badly as many because they got wind early on of the financial problems in Atlantic City & then refused to extend any further credit; Trump (who usually had been charming in his consultations with my uncle & other firm members) was furious, but because the factory in Italy refused to deal with him directly (he'd approached the factory in the hope of cutting my uncle's firm out), he did end up pre-paying by checks -- which they would run to the bank immediately for deposit -- so they "only" lost the monies attributable to the initial production, deliveries, and installation of the casino-hotel's lighting fixtures (Trump had paid the design fees before production began.) And having lived in NYC for years, I'd heard other stories, from reliable sources, about his boorish behavior, lack of ethics, etc. So my antipathy towards the man long predates his ascendancy to the Presidency & I have no interest in adding money to Trump coffers.
But I am genuinely happy that the Trump International LV was a perfect fit for your needs, that you got a good rate for lovely accommodations, and they treated you so well!
