I've already got my 20th and 25th picked out lol He has to do nothing but pay the bill We will do something special together - not sure what yet, but the days of needing to be surprised with something are gone and they weren't great to begin with lol

We actually had our 25th a couple of years ago, and he encouraged me to get as big a ring as possible, and I responded by being fairly conservative. He basically looked at the screen and approved my choice.

I got him a platinum wedding band replacement.

The 25th was/is a big deal to us, and we are big gift givers.

But I think we are both pretty old-fashioned. Seems more modern relationships aren't into gifts that much.

Yeh, I would be upset...but it wont happen because I'll be picking out my own gift.

(we dont usually exchange anniversary gifts but 25 is a big one!)

Congrats on 25 years DF!! What was her reaction?? If she seemed dissappointed then I would tell her what the delay is... But give it to her before her birthday. Surprise her with it. And get her something else for her bday... I think a 25th anniversary gift needs to have it's own day to celebrated and not added on to her birthday. Her birthday is a special day as well, and needs to be seperate from your anniversary. Not a 2 for one special IYKWIM......

We are celebrating our's in September and then in Jan I hit the big 50!!! Those are two big milestones and need their own special celebration. I don't care what he gives me. Just recognizing it , that's what is important.

i think she was dissappointed for a couple of days,but has gotten over it since,and no i haven't told her that i got her a 25th anni gift.

I would be bummed if I didn't get a gift and my DH didn't tell me one was on the way. I hope you at least told her she was the BEST wife ever.

Well my 25th was a couple of years ago and technically he didnt get me anything other then a card....I bought myself my 5 stone, but it would have been nice to get something from him....
