What are you guys making for labor day? We are making Burgers with bleu cheese crumbles, bacon and avocado slices. Maybe an appetizer of basil, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. ice cream for dessert. :) what are you guys making?

yours sounds yummy PF...

we are going to my grandmother''s for a bbq, and so there will be lots of different kinds of stuff there, meats, salads, veggies, guacamole, chili beans. i am bringing my artichoke dip appetizer at the request of my grandma, and also a deep dish cherry pie. i''m also making a low-fat banana bread today so we''ll see how that turns out.

Oh Mara, let us know if that low fat banana bread turns out yummy!

I definitely will Tacori...it''s in the oven now. I know sometimes with these lower-fat recipes you run the risk of it being too dry so I added a little extra egg white and a little extra banana to hopefully counteract any of that. I am using a ''spiced'' recipe which also uses Allspice and Cinammon, two of my fave things. So keeping fingers crossed it comes out yummy!

We''re staying home and making ribs in the crock pot, corn and mozerella, avacado, herloim tomato salad. I made some brownies a few days ago, that will probably be dessert.

HI:

Dinner reservations. Sundial lives too far away to go over for dinner and it has to be 30 degrees here already, so out we go! Enjoy your goodies!

cheers--Sharon

Hmm we had sushi today at RA. Yummy :) we bbq pretty much everyday & are sick of it.

Happy hubby made me a pre-birthday dinner (it''s actually tomorrow but he had the time today). We had carrot soup with giant prawns for an appetizer and then marinated NY strip, crispy fried potatos with garlic and parmessean (sp?) and green beans with pancetta and onions. Yum yum!!!

(Now he''s upstairs doing dishes and I''m tempted to break into the peanut butter cups for dessert.

Not very Labor-Day-ish, but I''ll take what I can get!

We went to a BBQ at a friend''s place. Grilled chicken breasts, pork ribs, wings...I made a really good German potato salad. New recipe I wanted to try. Lots of red potatoes, turkey bacon (I don''t eat or like the real stuff), sauteed onions and vinegary dressing. YUM! And we had LEMON MERENGUE pie for dessert. Even a lime lover will eat lemon if there''s no lime around.
