Greetings all! New here and need some help. Her birthday is in 2 days and she wants a 3 stone OVALwhite gold ring. She found one at the Shane Co. for 8+k. It''s 2 carat TW but don''t know the other 3 "C''s" though!. Wondering if anyone has a good on-line source to check their pricing. Can''t find any 2 carat oval rings on line. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks, Mojo

I would call Good Old Gold or Mark Turnowski at Engagement Rings Direct. They can easily help you select a GORGEOUS diamond and setting that will blow the Shane Co one out of the water.

No offense, but you really should learn about the C''s. You can use the tabs at the top of this website to learn a TON about diamonds in a really short amount of time. CUT is the most important (and I don''t mean the shape), followed by the others, and NO ring that sells at $8k for 2 carats is going to be nice. Especially from Shane Co...

Thanks for the quick response and no offense taken. I will find out all the info, it just wasn''t posted on there website and I haven''t had time to swing in to the store and get the rest of the particulars. Personally, if she likes it, I''m happy, just don''t want to get screwed. But, if I can find the same thing for 5k, or better quality for the same, then I''m happier!
I was just trying to find comps on line and the oval part seems to be harder to find than i thought.
If anyone can point me other directions, I''m all ears.
Thanks, Mojo

Please type Shane into the search box above and read through posts about Shane and Co. I would not buy anything there, and especially not something expensive (as in above $100)!

If you want to look at some ready made rings, look under resources above and click on some of the vendors. You''ll see lots of feedback on here for many companies.

Don''t buy from shane!! My husband had an awful experience with them a few years ago than ended up with having to put a dispute on our credit card. We got our money back after a lot of aggrivation and time. Never never never again will we buy jewelry on ebay or any online site without tons of research!

Also, I would not rush buying her a ring for the birthday deadline. If you want to get her a ring keep in mind its gonna last a lifetime so take your time!
