Leon solitare and eternity band!!!!
I polled you guys about a month ago on what type of wedding ring set I should get for my upcoming 20th anniversary. I have had the hardest time trying to figure out what I like best. When I first discovered PS back in January I was sure I wanted a Tiffany Legacy replica. Then I decided I wanted an emerald three stone, then I went though an asscher phase, then a cushion solitare phase, a custom halo phase etc. etc. etc. It just would never end! I think finding out that there were sooooo many options was just too much for me and I seriously have driven myself and my husband crazy. Anyway, I finally figured out that what I really love is the classy, elegant and classic look of a beautiful round solitare with one or more eternity bands so....
My diamond arrived today at noon and I am absolutely IN LOVE with it!!
It''s been going everywhere with me today
and it is sooooo sparkley and firey and just BEAUTIFUL! It is a GIA 2.01 L SI1 VG polish and EX sym no fluoro and very good cut. I bought it from Michael Jay Fifth Avenue. After seeing Jonathan''s video on color and seeing an L in a local B & M I was so excited that I really loved the warmer shades and therefore could get more bang for my buck. And after getting the numbers to look for from Todd and lots of helpful advice from several others on Rocky Talk I found some stones and had Michael take a look for me. He knew I wanted a really well cut stone that was eyeclean and in the warmer color range. My budget wouldn''t allow me to get one of the branded cuts or the absolute top of the line but I am telling you this diamond is absolutely gorgeous and I couldn''t be happier!! It got an excellent score on the HCA and Michael say''s it is a very very well cut stone. I am not going to analyze it any further because to my eyes it is perfect in every way and the price was phenomenal for a 2 carat diamond (less than 7k!). I will try to get pics of it and post them tomorrow. (sorry, I know how ya''ll don''t like posts without pics but dang, it''s hard to do!)
I will be sending it off to Mr. Mege in a couple of weeks to be set just like DiamondSeeker2006''s ring. He quoted me a price of only $1700 which I think is awesome for a custom made setting by a master craftsman such as Leon. I am soooo excited I can hardly stand it!
Anyway, all of this is to say a great big thank you to all you psers with your beautiful and inspiring rings and to tell anyone out there who is trying to keep their budget waaaaay down, look at some KLM''s...they are gorgeous! ( Now, I wouldn''t like my diamond in a setting with higher colored stones. I think it would really look too warm then but for a solitare it''s perfect and when I get a wedding band I will have it made with diamonds to match my stone.)
Hopefully I will have pics tomorrow. Thanks everyone!
