I''m kicking myself. I found the perfect dress to wear for my wedding online a couple of weeks ago. But I''d just started getting general ideas, and didn''t know whether I wanted long or short, etc. So I didn''t buy it, even though it was on sale.

Now, of course, it''s no longer available. I missed it!

I''m telling myself that it''s not that unusual a dress and I''ll find something I like just as much, but nothing''s magically appearing. (Of course, I have well over a year, but I''m still bummed.)

Lesson learned: If something really grabs me, I shouldn''t rationalize and second guess and hesitate myself out of it.

ps: if anyone sees this dress in a size 8 or 10, please let me know!

It''s a very PRETTY dress, but it may not be gone just yet! I''ve seen quite a few Tadashi dresses for sale on eBay (new with tags) when I was looking there for a dress. eBay Sellers post Tadashi dresses in both wedding dresses and regular dresses. I believe eBay Sellers will receive boxes of NWT clothing from wholesalers, so they would not necessarily know this was marketed as a wedding dress, so that''s why it winds up in regular dresses.

I''ll go do a quick search now, but you could set up a saved search for Tadashi and your size and perhaps the color and you can set the search up to send you reminders when new listings are posted that meet your criteria (but you still need to do the search, because the e-mail won''t necessarily give you each and every new listing.) If you already knew all of that, then just disregard.

Also, you can try a general google search for Tadashi wedding dress. Some other on-line merchants might be selling your dress.

Good luck!

Thanks. It actually wasn''t being sold as a wedding dress, and stupidly that made me hesitate. There are many similar dresses, but I love the neckline of this one, and now I''m pouting.

Setting up an ebay search is a great idea. Maybe I can have a Monday morning with coffee search ritual.

Or maybe I should just move on...

Oh, I searched and searched and searched last night and I didn''t want to admit defeat! It was no where to be found! But, I would still recommend the ebay search because you never know what can turn up. I finally broke down and purchased some earrings for my elopement. Clip-ons, that I know I will never wear again. $3.40. I love eBay. With shipping, I was still under 8 bucks!!

I did come across another Tadashi dress, very similar, same color, I think, but long. It might have been on ebay, and I was going to post it, along with my other findings, but then I never found anything else!

Try calling Tadashi. On another wedding board a woman wanted one of their dresses in white instead of red and they made if for her for some nominal charge. Also try calling Bloomingdales, there may still be one in a store someplace that they can either send to your local Bloomies, or direct to your house.

Have faith!

Ok, very weird. I was halfheartedly searching the internet again, even though like you, LV, I've had no success and suddenly Bloomingdale's had it listed again in size 2 and size 10. It's on backorder, so I don't know if I'll be getting it or not, or whether the 10 will fit or not, but if it doesn't fit it will just need to be taken in a bit, which is so much easier than going the other way, right?

So... maybe I just bought my wedding dress? [freaks out a bit] I have yet to try any wedding dresses on. I do not have the budget right now. I've never seen this dress in the flesh. But I was so sad when I thought I couldn't get it - way more sad than I was when I realized what my budget restrictions would rule out. So it must be the right thing, right? Right? AAAHHHHHHH...

ETA: To fess up, it's actually been in my clippings file since I was looking for a stone for my engagement ring back in December. So it's been in the back of my mind that whole time. It's probably the right dress. Probably. [deep breathing.]

*fingers crossed that the 10 shows up and fits*

I saw that yesterday too, but only the size 2. Even if it has to be altered to fit just right, it''ll be worth it.

okay, but if you get it from bloomingdale''s and it winds up not being exactly what you had in mind, can''t you just return it and get a refund? if so, sounds to me like a win win situation!
