I''m getting excited about my ring....the expected ship date is Aug. 14th. Thanks for being so generous with your design. Got a few questions to ask you....

1. How wide is your band is on your wedding ring.

2. Do you think a plain band would look good with the design of your ring. If so, what size band would you recommend. I was thinking of going this route. Let me tell you the background....if you don''t mind

My dh is getting this ring for me for our 10th anniversary. When we got married, I had a simple channel set diamond band. Then upgraded to the 5 stone that I have now. Now, I''m getting my next upgrade. I thought it would be so sentimental for me to get a plain white gold band and surprise my dh with a matching band(he''s got a 4mm plain yellow gold band) with one also. I was thinking about having some matching engraving done.

I would love your opinion about the plain band. I''m getting so excited....I have to think of something else. LOL Thanks in advance!

Hi BigTen!! (by the way my undergrad alma matter was a bigten school...not sure if that''s what your name is referring to)

The width on the top of the ring is about 4mm (at the widest point of the diamonds).
The ring slims down to about 2mm in the back of the ring.

I think a plain band could look really pretty with the ring, but I think it might be tricky to find ones that "match" well. I''ll try to take a few pictures with random bands I have sitting around and post them in a little bit. I think a thin plain band or maybe a tiny pave band might look really cute. My advice would be to go to some local B&M''s and try stuff on with the band to see what you like with it.

Okay...I took some pictures with a couple of bands I had around the house. The first band is a 4mm rounded silver band. I thought it looked *ok* with the band and felt a tad thick on my hand (but I have small fingers).

The second band is a 1.5mm knife edge platinum band. I thought it looked really fantastic with this band! I wish I had another thin band laying around that wasn''t knife edge, because I bet that would have looked nice too. I think that thinner bands might look a little better with the band, but everyone has their own preferences.

Wow, kcoursolle!! Thanks for posting all the pics. They definitely give me a better idea. I was thinking of 2 to 2.5 mm. After seeing your 4mm pics and the 1.5mm pics, I think the 2 to 2.5mm might be just the look that I''ve got in mind!
