How did you get into sociology? What was your undergrad in? I was a psych major in undergrad, and am in my 2nd year of my M.A. in criminal justice, so I have a huge interest in soc/psych/anthropology/CJ. What are you working on for your research (if you're researching)? What are your interests in sociology?

I''m searching for a pair of CL''s similar to yours in an aqua blue satin to wear for the wedding, but so far, no luck![]()
I don''t have to write a thesis for my MA. We actually have the option to work on a long term project with a prof, or taking comps when we are done. I had something lined up with the prof I worked with in undergrad, but she backed out, so I''m stuck taking the comps. Our department only has 4 profs, so if you''re not into what they''re researching, then you''re best to take the comps. I didn''t want to be forced to research something that I wasn''t interested in.![]()
After I graduate, I will probably take a year off to just relax and not worry about school, and then go back for either a PhD or a PsyD in forensic psych. The programs avaialble are so few and far between, so it would require then DH and I to move. I figure a year is a good amount of time to buy a house in the school''s area (hopefully Nova Southeastern in Miami![]()
) and for then DH to find a job in the area.![]()
Your thesis sounds SO cool. I''m currently in a public budgeting and finance class, and I really find it very interesing. It''s my first foray into economics and finances, so I am learning a ton. How much time do you have left in school? With your dissertation? What is your dream job after you graduate?
What are your favorite Wii games? FI and I are getting one for Christmas from his mom, and I am beyond excited! I always play it when I visit my dad. I love bowling and baseball. We currently have an Xbox, and I love playing guitar hero (although I play on easy, so I don''t know if that counts lol!). I only play about 1x/month because of school, but when I find time, I LOVE it!
What kind of board games do you play?
Do you guys like to travel? If so, where?
What kind of music do you like? What are your favorite TV shows?

hi ladies, sorry to invade your conversation. I''m not a social scientist, but just wanted to say
katamari - Kirby and Link are so cute!
princessplease - I also love guitar hero, but we play it on PS3. DH does the guitar and I do the drums (all on easy). we call ourselves ''BAND''.
