Interesting! On another baby forum I''m on there are hundreds of moms complaining about the chemical burns. They started a campaign on Pampers FB page but were consistently ignored. We''ve been lucky in that C has not had any issues. I agree it was a dishonest and sneaky launch (slip it into old boxes while charging full price for different product) and will be curious to see how they handle this. Between this and Tyleonol - I''m becoming cynical about these baby businesses. A lot of spin!
 
Whoah! I have not tried the new pampers yet. I always buy them on sale when I have a coupon so I have probably 300 of the old diapers. Wonder how they are going to get out of this one.
 
Woah, I picked up a pack to start my stockpile last week (my mom used Pampers for us 3 kids and loved them), but they will definitely be going back now! Glad I saved the receipt.

ETA: Even if these rashes aren't chemical burns and are just your run of the mill diaper rash, there's something wrong with the product if that many severe rashes are popping up. Like maybe they don't wick moisture quite as well as Pampers claims they do.

Chemical burns? That''s awful.

We switched to Huggies long ago, thank goodness.
 
Well just to help allieviate some concerns. C has used them for several months and no rashes, no burns. So it is not everyone--but still the numbers of people reporting this should be enough for them to at least take notice! I hope it''s not some messy recall though. They should offer both and let the consumer decide!
 
Fiery, I think the swaddlers changed also. At least they look like they did to me!

ANyway...my boys haven''t had any rashes and so far no major leaks either but I do feel like they don''t hold as much as the old ones.

I bought a box of huggies to try and don''t like them. Not sure if it''s because my boys are chunky (hehe) but they seem to not fit all around as the pampers do.

I tried the diapers.com brand and liked them for day use (wouldn''t try overnight)
 
We've been using the Cruisers with Dry Max for about a month now on Lucy and haven't had any issues. They seem to be absorbent and she hasn't had any rashes or unusual reactions. I'll definitely be paying closer attention to her butt now that there have been all these claims.
 
yikes!! we haven''t had any issues, knock on wood.

they def changed the Sensitive Swaddlers since that is what we used and we noticed it right away. at first i was not keen on the new ones, BUTTTTTT we''ve been using them for over a month now and we are used to them.

i am using BabyDry for his long stretches at night and so far those have been fine too. so at first i was like WTF when we got a new pack of the switched version, but now we are good. hoping for no bad reactions, yikes.

and QC hello...ditto on the tylenol thing and now this.
 
We just bought a box of the new cruisers and so far so good. James does not have overly sensitive skin so that might be part of it too. We alternate diaper brands too. We use huggies little movers, pampers cruisers and pampers baby dry at home and MIL/Nan use the cheaper huggies and luvs at their houses.
 
Piper has very sensitive skin (Burt''s Bees gave her a killer rash on her tummy) and I just tried the Swaddlers sensitive new version last week with no reaction. I got lucky and cleaned BRU out of the old formula a few months ago, now I have run out. Since I need to switch to size three, I thought I''d try all the other versions (baby dry, cruisers, swaddlers) until I find a good one. So far so good, I hope she remains rash-free. I agree with the other commenters who said it appears they don''t hold as much.
 
Hmmm, well not sure if it''s just a coincidence but O has had a diaper rash for the past week. He has never had one before and we just got a new pack of Swaddlers that we started using at the same time as when the rash appeared.

Going to try a different type and see if it makes a difference.
 
My daughter uses cloth diapers but keeps the disposables on hand for back-up. I think she switched to Kirkland, Costco's private label brand, because most mothers we know say that they are not only the most economical, but are actually the best all around for volume and leakage.

I don't know how anyone affords disposable diapers. My goodness, I went to buy a box for a baby shower and it was almost $40. Even baby wipes...what??? Sheesh, I just use water and cloth.
 
my sister has used pampers on her 2 year old from the day she was born. Her kid hasn''t developed any reactions at all. I''ve used huggies on jake and love them but did buy a box of pampers a few weeks ago b/c I got them for cheap with my stacking coupons and the store discount. My son didn''t have any reaction to them at all, they just seem so thin to me. He actually liked them because they have Elmo on them and the huggies are mickey mouse. he''s a huge Elmo fan

Glad most people aren''t seeing reactions.

We''ve used Pampers for 8 months now, but can''t use them anymore.

O got his first diaper rash with the last new pack. Switched to Huggies, rash disappeared. Ran out of Huggies and put a Pampers on him just for an hour or two until we got more Huggies. Massive reaction/rash immediately. So it''s definitely the Pampers.

Which sucks b/c I really like the Pampers way better. Oh well.

I am going to try out the Kirkland brand and some others now.
 
Miracles Rule, I''m with you. I used cloth diapers and found coconut oil useful for preventing rashes. I only used disposables when away from home due to their cost.
