I have noticed some hearing "issues" with Angello for a while.
He was tested today and has mild to moderate hearing loss. Ugh.
The good news is that his inner ear nerve tested fine. His middle ear
seems to have some fluid build up that may need some attention.
He will see the physician on Jan 10th for consultation. Hopefully he will
need some new ear tubes, be good to go and that''s all.

Thanks

Here''s a pic from Thanksgiving. (didn''t post correctly in previous)

What an adorable little man Angello is! I love it when you post pics of him!

So sorry to hear about his hearing issue. Hopefully it can be corrected quickly and easily.

Biggest hugs to you both!

Aww look at the little man, I hope his hearing issues get solved soon. I bet they will do tubes. HUGS!!! And give him a kiss for me.

Nan, gorgeous picture! What a beautiful smile child; such a charming smile!!! Praying everything goes smooth for our sweet Angello. Hugs friend!

I hope and pray that all will go well.

thank you so much ladies!
I just hate to hear anything more for my baby to deal with.
He''s been through so much already.

He hears me well on the phone, hehe.

He will be finer than frog hair split 8 ways.

Wow he is growing up fast!

aw Nan, he''s so cute. I love when you post pics of him too..good news that it''s not the inner ear. I had tubes several times as a kid and although it''s not fun, it''s a painless surgery and recover and it''s a miracle how the hearing comes back immediately after the tubes are in. I remember everything instantly sounded super loud. My little guy hasn''t been able to knock a double ear infection and if this last batch of antibiotics don''t work, he''ll be off to an ENT who will probably recommend tubes too. anyway, give that little man a hug for me..

I can''t help but smile when I look at that second picture. Angello is just adorable Nan. I am remaining hopeful that all will work out well with the tubes and his hearing.

Angello is adorable. Sorry to hear about his hearing issue. I hope it can be easily corrected.

Awwwww, Angello, awwwww.

He''s such a cutie pie! I am hoping for the best on prognosis and treatment! He''s a trooper and deserves a break!

Thank you for posting pictures, Nan. He is such a sweetie, and growing by leaps and bounds!

Here''s hoping the tubes will do the trick. Our son (who will be 44 tomorrow!) had them once. The beauty of them at that time was that they just popped out when drainage was complete. There''s probably an even easier solution now.

Prayers for only a simple procedure needing to be done.

I''m glad it''s most likely just a tube issue, and that he''ll be good as new. Thinking good thoughts for you all.

He''s so adorable. Hope the doctor visit goes well:)

Hi Nan, I''m sorry to hear about Angello''s hearing - the poor little guy has already been through so much. He is an incredible cutie pie, though - I love the pics you posted!

HI:

Oh what a big (little) man! Thanks for sharing your cutie patootie!

cheers--Sharon

Gosh he has the sweetest face! Hope all goes well and his hearing is recovered.

I''m so glad it is probably fluid and not permanent (nerve) hearing loss! Tubes usually clear it right up! Hopefully they can do it quickly!

Nan, I cannot believe how big he is getting! So cute. I hope everything clears up with his hearing!!!

Good LORD, Nan, he is getting SO BIG.......and still so adorable!

Hoping for the easiest possible resolution for you. I agree with the many others who''ve said the tubes are pretty easy.

What a stunning little man Angello is, that second picture is just so cute!
He will be ok, I know it! I will say my prayers for him!

My prayers are with you, your family and sweet little Angello.

Aww Nan, thanks for posting pictures. He''s such a little cutie pie!! I sincerely hope they will be able to fix his hearing problems and then everything goes smoothly for him. He''s such a wonderful little guy!

I have had issues with my right inner ear for a long time. And from what I understand there''s no damage to the structures in your son''s inner ear. Tubes should clear it up just fine. However I just wanted you to know that ENT Doctors have come lightyears ahead in the past ten years. There is so much that they can do for hearing loss. And don''t worry about your little boy. Ear surgeries aren''t traumatic. I''ve had three so far at 3, 12, and 17 years of age. The worst surgery for me was the one at seventeen but that''s only because I was older.

Kids bounce back so quickly from these types of surgery.

I wish you and your dear one all the luck in the world.

He looks like such a dear little boy, I hope everything goes smoothly for him and his hearing problems are sorted out. Please give him a hug for me, he looks totally hugable in your pics, darling little thing!

Jen

Please give him a hug from me Nan, how big he is getting!!!

Nan he looks so grown up now! Here''s hoping that the tubes make a major difference!

I know he is tired of the hospitals and medical procedures but his outcome has been wonderful - look at him!

Best wishes to you and yours for 2009!
