Just got the ring in pictures to come...

I do have to admit, something so small and expensive, really baffles me...there should be engagement presents for men...big plasmas or a toyota or something.

A word of warning...never ever look at your stone under a microscope except if it is flawless and even then dont stray from 10x...I went from impressed by the cleanliness of the SI1 that I got to apalled at what I could see at 10x all the way down to 40x on the lab stereo microscope...yeesh.

EDIT: seems like a lot of what I saw is just dirt and oils from my fingers, and a light cloth mad it look much nicer under the microscope

I totally agree with you about the fact that there should be engagement gifts for men! I actually am planning to buy my future fiance his dream guitar when he finally proposes, which according to him is soon
