Just bought this Spinel !

Yay for me!
My first coloured stone purchase, how exciting!

Purple spinel, 0.35 cts, from Gemrite..
I wouldn''t nornally post such a little stone, but its my first time !

He''s just a little guy, and as some of you may know I am waiting for a big brother of him to be cut (7mm cushion lavender spinel)..

But I thought having this one will help me make up my mind on how to set the big one - plus I just adore the colour!
It was listed as purple, but it does look more violet to me....

I have an empty 18k rose gold solitaire that I''m hoping I can fit it into, I think that will look awesome!

Yeah, I'm seriously infatuated with these stones at the moment..can't wait to see what rough comes in for my cushion..(rubs hands together)

Just received my cute lil spinel - first coloured gem purchase, yay !
I really like the colour, and the cut is soo well done - I highly recommend John B and Gemrite to anyone, high quality product and lovely to work with !

*Please* excuse my pics, I got finger prints all over the lil guy, sorry..its as clean as can be IRL

And this is what I had planned for it, although if I''m being honest perhaps the mount is still a tad too big?
I have to say, this colour gem with rose gold looks so pretty though !
