So I just spent a wad of cash on a diamond. Now that I spent it, I am having a bit of buyer's remorse. Or it could just be nervousness that I am now broke. Can anyone tell me if the diamond I bought was a good buy? It's my first time and I think I got a good one but would like opinions of others. Thanks in advance.

Can't shop for cushions by the numbers. Can you post magnified pictures of the cushion?

Damn, I bought by the numbers sigh. I will post pics soon.

Judging just by the GIA certificate, it looks like a typical "crushed ice" pattern. Many on this board tend to avoid this look and I'm wondering if it's what you were going for? Post some pictures & the ASET if you can.

That is kind of like choosing someone to marry without ever seeing them. She could be like a supermodel, or she could be pretty ugly. You can imagine what your odds are! Seriously, you cannot buy ANY diamond blind, but the best shot in the dark is a round that has ideal measurements. Every other diamond must at least be seen with magnified images and preferably an ASET image to show light return and leakage. I just wish you guys would post here BEFORE clicking the buy button!

Honestly unless you are within the return period dont ask for opinions. And I mean that with the best intentions.

And correct to the previous poster. you can't buy cushions by numbers. you need to see the facet pattern as there are many different ones. Because most people don't care for the crushed ice look they tend to be cheaper. However this is all preference, as others love the crushed ice look.

I bought the Diamond in person just so you know. And it was not one of the cheaper options.

Ok with pics and ASET

Do you have a return period?

Not sure, my check is clearing now. Why what's wrong? I know ideally you want more red but I have no white or black in the ASET which is a good thing, right? I also went back to compare mine with someone who had a pavilion cushion and mine (just learned about the crushed ice from this thread) was crispier looking while his was duller looking but shined more white light.

For a crushed ice style it's not bad. Would I buy it? No.

The jeweler said it would be a matter of preference. I thought mine looked crispier than the Pavilion. But that was just one other person's stone. Also, he said most cushions nowadays are modern cushions which are the crushed ice look.

What do you like or not like about mine? Also, what is it about the crushed ice style that you do not like? More brilliance over fire? Thanks in advance for the feedback.
