Just aquired a Cartier ring

Hey guys I''m completely new and totally lost. This is my first post! Anyway my aunt just gave me her 1.2 Carat circular cut Cartier ring. I would like to give it to my girlfriend but have it reset first (its gold and I would rather have platinum). Will Cartier do this? If so how much should I expect to spend?

No they will not.... and unless the setting is badly worn, wouldn't it be a pitty to replace beautiful craftmanship with a taugher metal ?
