I''m been posting on the June thread because I''m so close to June, but I think it''s about time we had a July thread. Myd ate is July 5th which puts me at about 23 days. YIKES!! All things considered I think I''m in pretty good shape.

Find and buy white hydrangeas (week of wedding)-stopped in at Stop&Shop and got quote-$3/stem
Make final payment on the venue (day of wedding)
Drop off checks at the venue for reception flowers and chairs
Put together must have picture list and choose picture locations
FI needs a tux-doing this this weekend
Get groomsmen gifts
Pack for honeymoon
Get house ready for wedding guests

Put together the OOT boxes
I''m on the fence about the OOT boxes. I was going to do them in place of favors, but I''m wondering if the effort and coordination is too much of a PITA. Not to mention I noticed on my hotel contract it said there''s a $3 charge for them at the hotel I''m not sure an extra $100 is worth it as it''s probably going to cost me another $50-$100 to get the rest of the stuff to put in them. So I need ideas for quasi last minute favors. I need 45 and the budget it $100.

FI and I just decided to NOT do OOT bags, so much else to do and they will be a PITA!.
We are July 11th.

Just applied for marriage license today
Have final appt for florist next week
have final appt for photo 6/24
Have final appt at hotel for 7/7
Have final fitting 7/8
Have makeup trail 6/23
Have to print programs, I am down one bridesmaid as of last week (long long story)
Have to print escort cards

im SOOOOO ready.

July 11! I think I''m doing pretty well, thanks to my mom. She keeps me on track! One month to go as of yesterday. We switched reception venues a week or so ago, so I need to update everyone. It''s just down the street, so no biggie.

I need to:
-Transplant the sunflowers - trying to grow my own!
-Figure out who gets bouts & corsages so I can give my mom a #
-Work on our vows and ceremony - call our officiant to set a date for a run-through
-Email/call everyone about the venue change
-Must-have picture list
-Layout of reception hall (doing this tonight)
-get our honeymoon itinerary done
-brush up on my Spanish!
-get shoes and belt for the kid, and get him to a barber (a few weeks ago he woke us up from a nap, saying he had a surprise for us...he''d chopped his hair! Aaaaand left a little bald spot on the side of his head - it has grown out now. I''ve evened it out as best I could)
-get our rental stuff
-hair trial this saturday

Nope, I''m in RI but I''m 2-2.5 hrs from NH (and from there originally).

Patchee - I hope you''ll have time to post pics of your crystal shoes when you get them.

I bet they are pretty and sparkly!

How do I post a pic? I got my shoes and they are spectacular!!!! and, I have never actually said that about a shoe before :)

Hudson ... Your Lucky to be originally from a state with no tax! Is there tax on clothes and other stuff?

It is 8.25% tax on everything in New York. Land of the taxed to death ... however, there are no mean mudslides, earthquakes, tornados, floods... just empty pockets

Woot, Woot!!! July 25th... 38 days away!!!

I have just become officially ECSTATIC about our wedding!!! My mom has this best friend, "Aunt D", that is absoluely crazy, but is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She finally called my mom to say that she WILL be coming and will have her mellon baller in hand when she gets off the plane!!! LOL, inside joke, but it''s her way of saying she is down to help anyway and everyway possible. She has a smile on her face 24/7 and is exactly the type of person you NEED on your wedding day!!!

EEEEKKK!!!

So, for the things we need to do, I wish I could just copy and paste the spreadsheet:

Print itinerary
Prepare welcome bags

Bring Ipod Dock for Groomsmen room

Deliver snacks & Ipod Dock
Remove Ipod Dock
Set up Lemonade, Tea, Coffee
Ask coordinator re wreaths (done and Ok''d!)

Reception:
Get more votives
Decide on favors
Meet appointment with venue coordinator
Decide on music
Name someone for overseeing candles
Finalize programs
Print and assemble programs
Reserved table signs
Time votives
Guest book
Decide on pictures on table/piano

General:
Buy a Rehearsal Dinner dress/shoes (me and MOB)

Yea, I grew up pretty spoiled. I didn''t have to pay state tax until I was well into my 20s (when I moved to MA)

In NH the only thing there is tax on is property and I believe meals and hotels. There''s no sales tax or income tax. In MA and RI there''s no tax on living essentials like food but there is on everything else.

No way Hudson!! No income tax? As I write I owe the IRS $550.00 due in 2 days! EEkkkk!

I feel tax raped now!
15.gif
Where in MA do you vist, have lived etc? I am 30 minutes from Lanesboro MA.

Meresal: If you don''t mind me asking, how many people are you having? Is it costing you an arm & lleg?

No STATE income tax. NH residents still have to pay federal income tax.

I'm actually in RI now but prior to RI I lived in Reading which was just north of Boston.

The amount per-se, is a bit up in the air, we are hoping for 250 or less, but every RSVP is leading me to believe we might be closer to 300. It''s definitely not costing less than than an arm and a leg... however, behavior at the reception will depend on who''s attachments will be spared

Good morning ladies,
It''s another rainy Monday here in the northeast. I''m not religious, but I''ve been praying every night for this nasty cold and rainy weather to stop so summer can start! I''m 13 days away and still not nervous. I''ve got some minor things left to do.

This weekend I tested truffle recipes for favors. They were a hit with my step sister and brother in law who came to visit. I''m going to do Mexican hot chocolate (cinnamon, cayenne, chili) and hazelnut truffles and give one each to my guests. This should come in under $50 for 45 guests using good chocolate from whole foods. YAY!

I had a makeup trial last night at Nordies which is right next door to the hotel where I''m staying for the wedding. I was supposed to have the trial with someone at Bobbi Brown, but she went home sick and didn''t call me to cancel *sigh*. So I ended up at Lancome. The girl did a good job. I LOVE their new oscillating mascara. I was considering false eyelashes, but I don''t think I need them with this stuff. My eyelashes are non-existent usually and wow, they were SOOOO long and had a lovely curl after she used this mascara on me.

I''m starting my tanning tonight at the place near where I live. I''m going to do five visits using on of their high-powered booths. I''m going to do three this week and then two next week.

This week I have to do the following:
Fill out final details form for photog
Check in with venue-confirm she ordered the chairs for the ceremony and has my meal counts.
Pick up place cards from calligrapher (my office''s receptionist)
start pulling stuff together for the honeymoon
start really cleaning the house for wedding guests
FI needs to get his tux tailored
Order hydrangeas for ceremony arrangements
Go in for one more hair trial
Drop check off at venue for reception flowers and chairs

Next week I need to:
Make final payment at the venue
pick up hydrangeas
pack
clean

18 days to go and I *think* I am set. Well, now I am trying to find a limo whic is crazy at prices of $400-50 + ...

Get the MIL a gift ......

and besides just dropping off the cake topper and paying for the cake, giving the caterer the full count, nails and hair, teeth cleaning tomorrow, cleaning my house inside and out - up and down (since it is at my house) and the biggy is PRAYING IT DOES NOT CONTINUE TO RAIN! Otherwise, this girl is nervous in a good way!!

And, Ladies what is on your dwindling To Do list?

I just met with my MOH/twin sister last night and went through the big list of stuff we have to do. So tonight I''m going to type it up and e-mail out "assignments" to my fiance, MOH, BM/older sister and mom. There''s like 25 things on it so I won''t list them all here, but it seems doable. And I just counted and I''m 22 days out! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! That''s basically 3 weeks!

Ok im 7/11 and 19 days to go and OMG.

6/23 tomorrow, make up trial
6/24 final appt w/ photog
6/30 facial and vit c treatment
7/7 pick up dress
7/8 final appt at hotel, pay balance
7/8 final hair cut, touchups (i have short short SHORT hair)
7/10 mani/pedi in afternoon
7/10 rehershal and rehersal dinner
7/11 WEDDING!

WHOLY CRAP!

Holy crap, iloveprincesscuts-I totally counted wrong! Hahaha 7/11 IS only 19 days away! YIIIIIIIIIKES!

P.S. Met my officiant tonight and he''s great-*phew*!
