Ok. So this PS thread is just like 50% of the other posts on this forum... but most of them have been of some value to me, and probably of great value to the OP.

I have 3 stones on hold. One of them will be going into a platinum scalloped split-shank solitare (no mele or side stones).

I need some weathered veteran advice on them because frankly I like all 3, and they are all priced right. I don''t have much detailed light performance data (ASET...) aside from the GIA reports and 4 bad pictures trying to simulate different lighting.

Please take a peak and feedback your opinion.

Just looking at the terrible pictures I like the cushion

!

I ran the round brilliants through the HCA and they both came out 2.4.
First one was all VGs - good to buy if the price is right
Second one was all VGs except the spread was only good - good to buy if the price is right.

No chances of getting other images? ASET, Idealscope?

maybe you could assess between the two RB first and eliminate it that way, then the last standing RB against the cushion, since the two shape will have different personalities and performances then it'll come down to personal preference for shape?

Thanks for the quick replies. Between the two rounds I would purchase the 175ct... but the cushion is my preference overall. I am just worried that the cushion might be a little shallow, but it is such a good price.

are you able to view the cushion in real life? through an appraiser, and see how you feel about it?

I actually took the pictures and louped each stone. I am comfortable with any of them, so maybe I''m just gunshy on purchasing. I will have to ask about a guarantee/warranty so I could possibly get it appraised beforehand.

Did you take a look at it in diffent light? Make sure it looks good in lighting other than the jewelry store lighting.
