Jubilee with medium blue flourescence

Does anybody think this Jubilee is showing a little "milky" color? The folks at Good Old Gold have been nothing but great to me, and they''ve said that the flourescence is not really noticeable on this stone... But ever since they''ve posted this picture I keep thinking milky color when I look at this. Maybe it''s just the lighting in this particular picture?

For the record I have not seen this diamond with my own eyes yet and I knew very little about diamonds, let alone flourescence, before finding this site about a month ago... I''m probably just second guessing myself, which I always do when making a big purchase. I may end up liking the medium blue flourescence once I see it in person, and I know Good Old Gold has a great return policy if my girlfriend or I don''t like it. I just wanted some opinions from the experts on this diamond''s stats and the medium blue flourescence factor while I wait for Vatche to set it!!

No, not likely. They wouldn''t sell it to you if it was milky. It''s their new pictures that look that way. If you are concerned ask them to take a picture face down or through the pavilion with mormal lighting. I don''t think you have a concern. I think the fluor is a nice bonus.

I agree. Jonathan would not sell a milky stone--he''s a great guy who goes out of his way to make his customers happy. Had I decided to get a Jubilee I would have bought it from him. IMO the photo of "your" stone looks as though it''s a bit blurry, and as though it''s just reflecting the light that''s hitting it. Also, I thought it was only strong flourescence that could make a stone appear milky/oily or whatever. The fact that you''re looking at an H colored stone with medium flourescence is, IMO, a good thing!

If I didn''t know GOG and their pictures, I would have thought that is an art print of some sort, not the picture of a diamond

The hazy look of very strong fluorescence rarely appears in diamond pictures anyway - even when it is there. I would not expect "medium" to show at all in a picture...

It would be quite unusual if you could see any effect of medium fluorescence in person, even when the light source (indoors or sunlight) used has a strong UV component. Worth giving it a try, IMO.

I bought an H colored Jubilee with medium blue flourescence from GOG and my wife and I both think the the diamond and the flourescence look great.

yes and the chances of a med blue being milky would probably be slim ... i think really only strong blue would have that possiblity and even then i think it was a very tiny %...not to mention I doubt J would buy a well-cut stone that was milky.

I agree the chances of this stone being milky is very slim. If anything the medium blue will only enhace this diamond and help it to appear even whiter. J wouldn''t be selling this tone if it was milky. Can''t wait to see the pics when you get it!!!

You can''t truly judge on one picture alone. If you''re set on getting a Jubilee have them send it to a local appraiser near you and check it out. Its well worth the time and money.

EP and I were among the first to grab these rocks when GOG started selling them and they have not dissappointed. Good luck!
