Minot native Annie Langseth is organizing the Joyful Heart Art Auction to be held in Minot during Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which is April. The event will benefit Minot''s Domestic Violence Crisis Center and the Joyful Heart Foundation, founded in New York by Mariska Hargitay of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit."
Langseth previously organized a Joyful Heart Art Auction in Grand Forks as a senior at the University of North Dakota and decided she wanted to bring the previously successful event back to life in Minot.
Langseth is looking for 20 to 30 pieces of quality art of all mediums, from artists of all ages to be auctioned. If you are interested in donating, or for more information about the auction and the organizations involved, log on at (www.articulate1.com).
