LOL that is such a funny scene! I love Alexis & Aaden too - Facebook has an Aaden Fanclub lol. I overlook most of Kate's snide remarks to Jon, but that one time when they were in the Crayola factory and she SCREAMED his name across the room...I was beside myself...it was so inconsiderate of everyone else that was at the place that day and probably made him feel like a wimp. I do think that he kind of "likes the abuse" though.Date: 7/25/2008 11:22:35 AM

I LOVE that show and fall in love with those babies every single time I see them! I adore Alexis and Aaden! Lately I've had a hard time tolerating Kate's attitude toward Jon. He seems a little bullied by her! That's why I'm so glad when he gets one in on her every now and then, too!
I love the episode where Aaden is sick and has a bucket on his tummy while he's lying on the couch, and Alexis comes over and says 'Aaden's my buddy.' And starts petting him! Then Hannah comes over and tries to touch him and Alexis says, 'No! Him throw up on your hand!' and Hannah says, 'No him won't!' And they have a little screaming slap fight, while Alexis is STILL petting Aaden. Love it.
Yeah, I''ve seen some of the stuff people write about the family, but most of it seems to be people''s misplaced need to tell the Gosselins how to run their family. I would be more concerned if the kids''s parents were not there 24/7 and they were just actors on another show instead of living their everyday lives with a few staged fieldtrips. I really don''t think the kids will have all the feared psychological problems when they grow up because their parents were there every step of the way and I truly believe that they just want what is best for them so I think they''ll be okay. I couldn''t see anyone making fun of them for benig on TV...who doesn''t have embarrassing photos of their childhood? I don''t think it would be much different than going to a friend''s house and having their mom show you pictures of your friend naked in the bathtub or whatever.Date: 7/25/2008 11:47:07 AM

I also love this show and watch it all the time. However, I read an article not to long ago about how alot of people are anti-Goesslins. And I do kinda agree with some of the things it said, I guess they have increased their production schedule so there are camera''s there all the time. And there are no laws protecting ''reality child actors''. SO as much as I love the show, I wonder what it will do to the kids when the show is over, or when their friends at school make fun of them for watching their meltdowns and pictures with their poop. I also wonder now that neither parents have jobs if they will put the pressure on to keep filming, as the kids are kinda the gravy train. I''m sure they are doing what they feel is best for the kids, as all of us that are parents do, but since reading the article I watch the show with a bit more jaded eyes.

Yes, between the camera crews there more often then not now, and they''ve installed the huge lights on all of the ceilings, and most recently, there is now a camera in the kids rooms.Date: 7/25/2008 11:47:07 AM

When Kate was pregnant and hospitalized with the ''tups, Jon was fired from his job. While he was unemployed, Jon''s wealthy father (who has since passed) supported them for quite some time. Jon was then hired as an IT analyst with the Gov. of PA state''s office. He quit that job. I believe there was one more job inbetween but a few months back he quit that job to travel with Kate to be motivational speakers. Also, with them ranking in a rumored $65K an episodes, plus speaking fees, plus selling the kids pictures at $20 each, plus Kate consigning ALL of the donated clothes and items that she had/has received, they are quite well off now.Date: 7/25/2008 11:55:35 AM

I wasn''t aware that Jon wasn''t working anymore...did he just quit or?
I agree. Of course TLC isn''t going to show us when Kate is being sweet to Jon (I highly doubt this NEVER happens), because it doesn''t make good TV. Just like they won''t show episodes of the kids watching TV and sleeping all day because it''s not fun to watch. No one would watch the show if Jon & Kate were the cookie cutter couple & I''m sure that if Jon minded that much then he would''ve left a long time ago before the babies even came. Different couples get along in different ways and just because your DH wouldn''t like having Kate as a wife doesn''t mean Jon doesn''t. TLC obviously knows about the "Anti-Gosselin" movement and use that to their advantage in what they show. No such thing as bad publicity! If I had 8 kids and a recently fired husband, I would certainly be trying to find income from every source possible, and I won''t fault them for that. There are much worse parents out in the world today, using their children to make money in far worse ways, so giving children trips to Disney, free clothes, and a nice home with space to run isn''t something I will criticize. As for the cupcake thing...if you''ve ever worked with kids you will know that what Jon & Kate said was true about them not even remembering them the next day, and I highly doubt any long-term damage was done from it. What they WILL remember is that they need to eat their dinner to get dessert, no matter what it is.Date: 7/25/2008 11:00:53 PM

i watch it sometimes. honestly, I cannot imagine what it would be like to have camera''s around all the time but I''m sure I wouldn''t come across as the worlds best mom 24/7. In many ways i wish I''d have so many life memories on film, which was the original reason they did the show. I don''t blame them for taking advantage of some of the perks the show offers. i know how much it cost to raise 3 kids so 8 would be very difficult on many families and the show has provided them opportunities they wouldn''t have had most likely.
I would never yell at my hubby the way Kate does but many marriages function that way. i do know what''s it''s like to be out in public with kids having a melt down, feeling helpless and overwhelmed and can''t find my hubby. it''s easy to judge them and by doing the show they will have to accept the judgement but all in all I think they love their kids and are doing their best. I know I haven''t always been consistent with my kids either. that''s one reason i like the show, i can see some things that they do right and wrong and can learn from it myself.
