I like it. No jokes, no nothing. A nice piece of jewelry is a nice piece of jewelry. He wants to wear it ... why not? This whole idea that solitaires are inherently feminine has always made me scratch my head. That's what I originally thought when I saw the ring lioness posted. And that makes much more sense IMO.

Yes, he actually stated in an interview that the ring belongs to Amber, but it was too big for her, so he was wearing it.
Normally, I tend to think that Johnny could wear a paper bag and still look good, but the ring looks about as bad as the two shirts he's wearing (one with vertical stripes and one with horizontal stripes)….

Very interesting--you would think that he could have any competent jeweler resize it if it was too big for her.

On a side note, DH wears a class ring that has a skull and crossbones on it. The closest he ever came to wearing bling was when he was thinking about putting diamonds or rubies in the eye sockets of his ring! He decided against it, though!

Unfortunately, I know nothing about the size of Johnny Depp's fingers. However, if the ring fits him, I can only imagine that it's pretty large, probably way too big for Amber. It looks like it has pave on the shank, which may explain why it hasn't been resized. That being said, why would he buy a ring without contriving to find out her ring size??

I'm sorry but my Hubby was doing this last year. When we said i was getting a 30K ering his mother insisted he have one too. when we said we weren't going to spend more money on something he would never wear, she had one made for him herself. and forced him to wear it to our engagement party. he's not a big fan

I love guys wearing diamond rings but my DH old fashioned nonmetrosexual kind of guy

I had him put it on just now for a photo, shown next to his 22k wedding band. I've just realised i could repurpose this for earrings...

As a guy, I would probably not want to wear that either, not because of the diamond, because of the setting. I bet if you had it redone with a wide band set low he might like it more. Then again, maybe his mother just wanted something she knew he would not like.
