John and Kate Plus Eight

When the first couple rumors came up I just couldn''t believe them, but with all this new evidence I am starting to think it really happened. I think that Kate will stand behind Jon and they will stay together for the sake of their kids and their religious beliefs. HOWEVER, I don''t think that Kate is a forgiving person and she will berate Jon constantly about this. Their marriage will inevitably crumble and break, I just don''t see anyway around it. It may not happen right away, but I see divorce in their future if all this is true. I''m just sick for the kids...

Again, I don''t feel badly for Kate. I know that some have said she shouldnt have to go through this but Jon shouldn''t either. And while its very easy to say that he should just divorce her before he cheats, with 8 children he''s probably feeling that its worse to divorce than it is to have someone on the side. Not the best mentality to have but what else is a father of 8 supposed to think?

As for their on-air personality, yes I''m sure most of it is scripted. I''m sure TLC has told her to be dominating to get the ratings up. But there are things that happen between a couple that you can''t fake. When they are in a room, standing next to each other there is no affection. I don''t know how to describe it but even with couples that aren''t overly affectionate there exists this natural attraction to one another where you have to touch each other...a pat on the back, rubbing an arm, even standing hip to hip. They don''t do that. I always look out for a small sign of something and it''s never there.

) says Kate will be on Larry King Live sometime this week (tomorrow, maybe?) and TLC will be making an announcement shortly. I have no idea how true either statement is, but thought I''d share.

Now those are the things I''d be very interested in seeing/hearing....

Wow, I can't believe he actually cheated.

I watch the Show all the time and enjoy them as a family - although I do agree that Kate is very controlling with Jon. I think she feels she needs to be in 'take charge' mode at all times since Jon is more laid back. She does acknowledge being bossy. I also think I remember that she's the eldest of her siblings - so she may just be accustomed to taking the lead. It is very belittling to Jon though - and you could see that it makes him bitter and frustrated on the Show, although he doesn't always say it directly - usually he would just start snapping at her for some unrelated issue. I wonder if he ever really talked to her about her tone/communication with him. I think Kate knows she acts badly sometimes (she's acknowledged it on the Show) but she seemed to justify it by saying that's just how they operate as a family, and that they understand each other even though they bicker a lot. It doesn't sound as if she truly understands how it might be affecting her husband. I can understand him getting tired of it and wanting to get away - or at least be with someone he feels more 'masculine' with.

I also wonder if Jon doesn't feel 'pushed into' having children too early. In the episode about how they met/got married - he mentioned that he wanted them to wait a while and enjoy married life before having kids. They were pretty young when they got married - 22 and 23, I think. But Kate was anxious that she wouldn't be able to conceive (because of the PCOS), and pushed for having children fairly soon. Then they had their twins. He was happy with that. But then Kate pushed for them to have one more, and he finally relented. And she wanted to get pg right away ( this info is on their website) - and then they got pregnant with the sextuplets.

Even though he loves his children, I always wonder if he doesn't resent her for them becoming parents to such a large family so quickly. With her being the controlling one, and him being more laidback - she seemed to pretty much control the whole TTC process from start to finish, even though he was hesistant at times. They never really got a chance to enjoy themselves as a young couple, and I wonder if he doesn't feel as though he 'missed out'.

Ditto. I think so much is for ratings. I''m not saying he didn''t cheat, but who knows - this guy may just be trying to get his 15 minutes of fame by talking about his sister and some celebrity that he knows the media will thrive on.

Italia - maybe Kate was really distraught during the book signing I went to. Maybe all this was on her mind. So maybe I should be a little more slack about it.

Yeah, I also think it's strange how this brother, who says he wants to 'protect his sister" is all up in US weekly airing her dirty laundry - talking about how the walls are thin and you could hear them having sex? Why did he have to say that? I think he was probably paid by US weekly to dish the dirt.

There's a new story out now that says Deanna is denying the affair - and that her brother has no credibility at all.

I feel sorry for the children caught up in this.

Especially Cara and Maddie who are old enough to understand. Could you imagine if kids at their school tease/ask them about it? That could get really uncomfortable.

Hmmm... IMO Jon is having an affair and her brother completely set them up and sold them out. I''ll bet anything that her brother is the one who took the video of Jon (allegedly) leaving her home. I''m not surprised she''s denying the affair either. She''s a 3rd grade teacher, what is she suppose to say? "Heck yeah I''m doing a middle aged married father of 8!"

Last night I put a few episodes of J/k+8 in my Tivo and today watched the "Giving Back" epi with my kids. It was a really sweet episode and other then Kate talking over Jon, my kids and I loved it. I was a devoted to the show until I couldn''t stand watching Kate belittle Jon.

I love this show and it saddens me to think that he might have cheated. If he did he not only did it to Kate, but also his 8 kids. However, I don''t like the way she treats and bosses him around - when you watch the first few episodes, they talk about how they got to having 8 kids and it is apparent that she was the one that wanted the extra kid after the twins.

Well, lol and behold, they got 6 extra. He obviously wasn''t happy about being talked into having an extra kid and got 5 extra. I have no doubt that he loves them and he is only human. To be responsible for so many and belittled by her - one can only take so much. I wish he wouldnt cheat but I also believe in some ways, she pushed him to that edge by treating him like the way she does.

I wish she would appreciate him a little more and it may change their relationship.
