The ramifications of these shootings are far reaching and last forever. It's not just the people who were killed but their families and friends and all the people they touched in their lifetime. And all the people they were yet to meet and influence and change for the better. The tragedies compound upon one another and magnify and it's a never ending cycle.

Their children's children will not have the benefit of their grandchildren in their life and so on and so forth. It's a tragedy that is boundless. Not to compare but just to share my thoughts. Who knows what genius ideas and inventions and cures for diseases were squashed when millions of people were murdered in the Holocaust? Who knows how many millions of lives could have been saved if those individuals were not murdered? We all lose. Not just the ones who die and their families. The murdered children. Who knows who they could have become and whose lives they would have changed in a meaningful way. We will never know.

RIP to all those poor souls. Whose lives were taken before they had a chance to really live and impart with the world their unique talents and gifts. To those who are affected by these murders. Forever. And for those who will never get to know their loved ones. And for the children who will never be born because these children were murdered. The effects are far reaching, never ending and truly tragic.


And to the Garcia children. There are no words to comfort them. Their loss is beyond words. My heart goes out to them and somehow, I hope they can survive this. But they will never be the same.

It is heartbreaking.
Hearing that children covered themselves in their friends blood and laid there playing dead.
Hearing that police waited for a specialist team for over an hour while those wee children lay dead, dying or paralyzed with fear and their parents were outside listening to gunshots, desperate and distraught wanting to go to their children.
And it happens again and again and again.
Prayers and thoughts are useless.
