“I’d rather die while I’m living than live while I’m dead” – Jimmy Buffett

RIP Jimmy

Nooooo!
I'm so sad!!:cry2:

Thanks for taking us to Margaritaville.
Parrothead forever.

I was so sad when I heard this today. I started going to his concerts in the 70's while in college at a very small venue in Atlanta called The Great Southeastern Music Hall. He didn't even have a band yet. Just a fiddle player. I continued to go to his concerts when I went to grad school in the Midwest, and also after I moved to New England. He was a constant for many years. It's hard to believe that he is gone.

RIP Jimmy ❤️

Bob Dylan once said that JB was the best songwriter ever citing A Pirate Looks at Forty.

This is just the saddest day for me as a huge fan for many years. Most people loved him as the guy who sang Margaritaville but there was SO much more to him. Author, pilot, father; his talents were endless. I’m not a “huge fan” of anyone else, didn’t realize how hard this would hit me!

I was sad to hear that. Margaritaville is one of my favorite songs.

May he finnaly find his "lost shaker of salt".
