jewler recommendation for resizing a platinum ring in LA area

I live in the LA area, and I was wondering if any of you could recommend a jeweler that could resize a ring? Maybe talk a little about what happens when one gets a ring resized? i''ve heard some bad stories, and would welcome any recommendations to a trusted jeweler. Or if you are a jeweler in the LA area and is a regular on this forum, that would be all the better. Thank you...
