When I went to the jewelry store, I couldn''t believe how wonderful my ring looked. It''s an older cut ring and the appraiser said it''s modern day counterpart would be a cut grade of good. At home, it don''t sparkle a lot. I love it anyway because my grandmother gave it to me with love. Anyway, I couldn''t believe how much it sparkled in the store, especially the fire that was bouncing off of it. I think I read that they use halogen lights, right? If that''s the case, I want to get some for my home.

Better buy some before they are outlawed by the green movement. :P

Are you serious? I thought that they were better for the environment than incandescent lighting.

Do you feel how hot they get? That is alot of power output there.

No I didn''t feel any heat. They were set high up and it''s kind of cool now.

hi,
but spot light / halogen lightings consume most energy.. and thus has to pay more $$$$ every month in your bill...

They put out a lot of energy as heat -- the energy is only wasted if you live in a warm climate or if it''s summertime!

Most of that heat is up in or above the ceiling and is wasted unless you are heating a bedroom above.

LED is by far the most efficient, then fluoroescent tubes and the new spiral type small fittings -
And metal halides (which are very epensive to buy - but the prices are falling - there are better color types coming out - and there are units the same size as existing halogens which run about 35 watts with about 3-4times the output of light.
