If you're considering JA Summer Show it's a great event but limited to members of the jewelry and bridal trade. In fact, it's such a retailer-driven show that even manufacturers are not admitted unless they're exhibiting. The good news is that you're "safe" from your lady being able to bump into it and get ideas on her own.

A trade member would have to compromise the admission requirements to do this. I''m not saying it doesn''t happen - I''m rather sure it does - just that it''s not in the spirit of the (detailed) registration & attendance requirements. You''d need to have business cards with your name and the registered business on them, I presume.

Not sure but if you are looking for stones in New York, I would make an appt with Engagement Rings Direct or Good Old Gold.
