Jewelry pieces you fall for

I relate to this thread!

I'm not looking to buy - other priorities and I have a lovely three stone diamond ring -that I just recently had a larger AVR centre stone put into. I have a lovely sapphire halo ring. But...

I look at three stone rings with a parti sapphire centre stone.

I love looking at all the varieties of halo rings out there.

I love looking at target rings on the Langs Antiques site.

Agreed!

Ok, not 100% sure this is it but looks very similar...

That is gorgeous! I love that flowery clasp. If I had that I’d wear it back to front when I wanted to be less in your face and front to back when I wanted to dazzle!

Both of these pieces have been sold. I will miss the feeling that I might own them one day. So beautiful!

I’ve wanted a diamond crescent for a long time. Saw one the other day - the crescent of crescents. A whopping 8 carats +. Can’t buy it but I am in LOVE! Best appreciated by video but also attaching pics:

Forever & ever I have lusted after a Tiffany solitaire ring, a Cartier Love Bangle & a Rolex watch. Other things have come & gone, but these 3 were not waning.

Last October I finally got the Tiffany ring of my DREAMS :kiss2:

In Septemeber it's our 15th wedding anniversary & I have told Mr T quite brazenly that I want to get the Love. He hasn't said no, so I am steering our proposed City Break without the children to somewhere like Paris, London or Barcelona, where I know they have Cartier boutiques with stock :lol-2:

This week I turned 48 (how the hell that happened, I'm not so sure??) but I suggested I might like a Rolex for my 50th. Again he said OK, we can definitely look at that, so I might just get that Lust List ticked off!

Lots of things -- crushes every week but I almost never act on them. My phone photos are full of IG screenshots.

A few from Lang just from the past few weeks, just because i am doing this on a desktop:

EDIT: I visited one piece of jewelry every few months for five years before finally pulling the trigger!

I relate to this. New crushes every damn day! What’s the piece you visited for 5 years?

I am always lusting after the next hot thing but I’m trying to stay true to my planned wish list. Eternity band is next, I think. I also want some classic pearls.

And eventually, a sapphire ring set in yellow gold, kind of like this PSer’s!

How fun!!!!!! Have you always done a City Break?

We've done them on occasion, but not literally for every anniversary. Usually it has just been for one night because the children were young, but they're a bit older now & my 25 year old niece has offered to come stay with them for 3 nights, which means we'll hop on a plane into Europe.

Do you know, I have absolutely no idea! I'm planning to go with the flow when I eventually get there & just try things on. How are you finding yours?

Monica Rich Kosann diamond initial 4 photo locket. I am about lockets the same way I am about 3 stone rings; they’re a long time passion. But the MRK locket in roughly 22k - without tax - so that’s just nutty. Consequently, DH is having one made for me by DKJ for the 40th anniversary of when we met. It will be about 1/3 the price yet somewhat more substantial. While it won’t have my initial on it, it will have something rather better; the Southern Cross constellation done in diamonds. This is a lifetime piece and will scratch a BIG itch!

i have seriously missed out on bling gifts over the years
i need to go back to the year 2000 and start of this anniversary caper
Gary even remembered the first year.
it was in his work dairy

the last big birthday i actually celebrated was my 21st
30th, 40th and 50th have come and gone and now Gary is retired so the time of big $$$ gifts have come and gone
no engagement ring
no wedding ring
no eternity
(i guess you have to be married for those last three)
not even a promise ring

but I'd settle for one of those Claddagh rings once im back working full time (Gary is half Irish)

i wanted this from one of the mall jewlers but its been discontinued
edit
great news
its back

Is common law marriage a thing in NZ? Either way, I am of the age where I am starting to ignore what convention says is appropriate "just because." If you and Gary have been life partners for decades, then I think you should be able to wear some bling on your "wedding" finger.

That's a good plan! Things can look very different on the wrist. Also if you wait a while the craziness should have died down and more things will be available to try on, it's already heading in that direction. Do make sure to buy from an authorized dealer - I recommend Prestons in Wilmslow when the time comes, they are fantastic. I am loving mine. It has ruined all other watches for me. I am now seeking a second one

Here is another I’ve fallen for (I’m shockingly promiscuous with my jewellery love affairs!).

Imagine the three stone ring of gloriousness you could make from these peruzzi cuts. Incredible.

I absolutely love Peruzzi cut diamonds! They're so beautiful & whimsical :kiss2:

I very much relate to this!! Can't wait to see which Rolex you end up with and fingers crossed for the Love bangle this year! (I similarly like to account for jewelry stores when planning trips, haha)

My wish list is pretty short, but a Rolex and a Cartier JUC are very close to the top.

If I had unlimited $$ I would also add this palm leaf ring by Anita Ko to my list; I love this design so much!! I'm tagging @glitterbomb because I think I recall she has a gorgeous Anita Ko bangle :kiss2: and also so she can add any other unique pieces she might have her eye on!

i might ask for a Claddagh ring gor Christmas this year then =)2

we have property laws that give a couple who have been together 3 years the same status as a married couple

we have never done anything formal or informal
i was reading the other day since same sex marrage became a thing quite a few years ago now, Civil unions have fallen by the wayside, i would have been happy with a civil union

i just want a ring ;)2
i would think (without looking it up) that marrage in the trational sence is at an all time low, most people just live together i guess

common law wife is a term not used any more (except by me joking around)

i think i would now favour just going down to the registry office and announcing it afterwards like @kenny did

I think that would be lovely and quite romantic. But either way, legal or not, wearing some bling of your choice on your wedding ring finger shows that your heart is taken.

Adorable!!

I've looked at those many, many times. Afraid to ask the price!

I do have a current crush with no plans to buy. It’s a 3.01ct oval (K-SI1). I know I wouldn’t be happy with a lower color oval, but there is just something about this design that really fascinates me.

LOL. I've been close SO many times.....should have bought it ages ago. Now I feel I'm too old....LOL.....

Never too old to enjoy gorgeous diamonds! Sounds like this ‘want’ has stood the test of time - maybe it is time to make it a reality! We would all drool over it and make you feel like a queen - lol!

Oh I have plenty on my wishlist haha. Here's from my running list. These are mostly contemporary pieces so I don't feel bad posting that someone's going to snatch them :P2

- Marla Aaron engraved lock
- Circa 1700 "this be your lucky star" pendant with custom painted enamel
- Marie Lichtenberg love you to the moon and back clasp
- Heavenly Vices mama lock necklace
- a nice chunky diamond buckle ring
- something from Castro Smith, probably incorporate birth flowers for my family

I will probably lust after the Victor Barbone Marielle rings forever. They are all unique and gorgeous.

I've recently been on a lilac sapphire kick. In addition to that, I'm getting my engagement ring made over at Old World Diamonds, and since I work with my hands a lot (farm life), I've decided I neeeed a special way to still wear my ring without it getting hurt. I love 24 carat gold and was thinking of some gold chain around my neck from Italy, or maybe I should get a string of some faceted opal beads that I silk knot myself. I do some jewelry work myself, but in the beading and wirework realm. There are so many colors and I can't decide! I love them all.

Loose or set, I swear I can hear this diamond calling my name.

It even has my favorite color and clarity grades, Fancy Vivid Blue and VVS1. :kiss2:
