Jewelry Inventory Management Software?

I know there are a lot of Gemologists/store owners/salespeople on this site and was wondering what type of inventory management software do you guys use?

Is there a general industrial brand or are they composed of smaller independent companies who provide the software?

What do you look for when buying the software besides being able to track inventory?

I hope any salespeople/gemologists/store owners/customers can help me.

Quickbooks Point of Sale and Premier. There are lots of options specifically designed for the trade, but I couldn''t see the value in paying the higher price compared to the features...
