It could still be a good diamond despite the HCA score...The HCA can penalize a diamond with a steeper pavilion angle, if this is one of Jon's hand picked diamonds it could be worth further investigation - do you have the link for this diamond MaryPoppins so we can see if stone #1 has an idealscope image or any other info?

ETA - found the link, it is a lovely stone. Is it ok if I post the link MP?

Agreed. And what setting are you looking at at Jewelry Exchange? GOG has access to hundreds if not thousands of other settings not on their website...I''d ask them first.

EDT to remove stone link. :P Guess I should have think more... :P

Looks good to me, maybe just a bit less than ideal light return from around the centre of the stone. But as Jon hand picked this, should not be a problem in real life performance.

Thanks! I didn't want to without checking with you, as lurkers can often grab diamonds up for consideration if they aren't reserved.

If you are seriously considering this one, make sure it is eyeclean to your standards by checking with Jon at GOG or one of his staff. The second one you posted looks great too. GOG have an excellent rep here, I agree with Neat that it might be simpler to get the setting from them also if you are buying one of their diamonds.

Thanks to all of you. I''ll probably focus my search at one place - GOG - for now.
