Brian Gavin and others I've spoken to in the area continue to describe the overall situation as severe. People are still being asked not to return to Galveston island. Although some places in Houston were able to resume operations within days many residences had power restored only in the last 48 hours and there are business and residential areas that still have no power.
Continued wishes for a speedy recovery to those who are still putting things back together.
