Platinum is quite pricey these days and you are looking at a 7mm band, so I am not sure how much better you can get that. That price doesn''t totally shock me considering the width of the band, but I could be wrong. What were you hoping to spend? Have you considered whitegold? It would be a lot cheaper. I will try and do a quick search.

This plat band from WF (great prices so good to compare) is a wirebrushed finish ( these can be a bit more expensive) but is 6mm in plat and is just over $2k, so that price you were quoted might be on par. You could ask WF how much this band would be polished? Maybe it would be cheaper without having to do the wirebrushing? You might even get a Pricescope discount on this product, but I am not sure if that only applies to erings and diamonds?

Ignore that, I have just found pretty much the same band as your''s, with the grooves, and in a polished/satin finish, platinum 6mm from WF, price $1795.

If you love the band you saw, it''s seems to be a fair price and I would go for it if you are happy with the workmanship etc.

i expected 1000-1500. I can afford it just would rather pay a little less if possible. The one i saw was the 6mm not the 7.5

Possibly, but that doesn''t mean the vendors are going to drop the prices. They might just make more of a proft? Who knows? It could go up again too, I would say if you love it, then go for it. You only get one wedding band, you might as well get the one you love, and platinum is just gorgeous for mens bands. I prefer the patina it has rather than the shinyness of wgold on men.

It''s a lovely band BTW. Simply but with a little twist. I love the grooves in it. Don''t forget, you guys can post pics too when you get it!!
