This brooch sold for $290K! I love how the red spinels have slightly different hues/saturation/tone so they almost make the wings look 3D.

Thanks for sharing that lovely piece. I love his pave work, and it's cool that he's using spinels instead of the typical rubies he ordinarily uses.
 
That's a lot of work! I wonder how long it took to fashion and set that all those teeny tiny stones into the brooch.
