James Allen is having a sale for Valentine's Day and I have been wanting to get a nice diamond band to go with my AVC solitaire. I have a bit of a stacking addiction I admit.

I was thinking of getting a ring from either BGD or Whiteflash and now I am wondering how the melee diamonds at James Allen compare?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Rena7,
I have a diamond band from James Allen with .03 pt stones. It is very nice, the stones are bright and sparkly and I can even see tiny little arrows in them. I had also ordered a band with .03 pt stones from Whiteflash that I ended up returning because the style didn't look right with my e-ring. My untrained eye honestly couldn't tell the difference in quality between the two bands. James Allen has a great return policy, so if you order and band and don't like it you could always return it.

Thank you for your reply. Which band did you get from James Allen? I am thinking of getting something with .01-.05 stones. I don't want to overpower my solitaire since it is only .87.

I purchased this one:
http://www.jamesallen.com/wedding-rings/matching-bands/18k-white-gold-alternating-pattern-wedding-ring-item-9417
It looks way smaller, daintier and prettier in person than on their site and doesn't over power my .59 solitaire. I chose that one because I wanted something really smooth, without a lot of prongs and I have larger hands so anything too narrow doesn't look right to me.
I had also purchased and returned this one:
http://www.jamesallen.com/wedding-rings/womens-diamond/14k-white-gold-0.15ct-thin-pave-set-diamond-wedding-ring-item-7674
It was very pretty, but too dainty for what I was looking for. The diamonds are very small, so they shimmer more than sparkle. I think it would look nice in a stack or on a smaller hand than mine ( I wear a Size 8 on my e-ring finger) .

I hadn't seen the ring that you purchased on their site. It is really pretty. I do think their pictures leave something to be desired. I would also like it if they had the height of the band posted. I want something a bit low. I would love to see a picture of your set, if you have one. It is always fun to look at another member's bling.
