Might have a loose diamond coming in soon with an H&A viewer to check for the hearts pattern =)

Its a .54 G SI1 (eyeclean) the IS looked great and they said it could pass as an F easily.

I can''t give you guys a link because it is currently off the site on hold

The cut advisor gave it a 1.3

Sounds like it could be a winner!

I hope so! If you don''t mind me asking where did you get your H&A from and what size is it?

No, I don''t mind Ryon! I got it from GOG, and it''s a 1.40.

lol It took me 24 years to get this, and I had a much smaller stone than you''re getting your gal to begin with. I have to say, it was worth the wait.

Yeah, they told me the average diamond starting out in the US is a little below half a carat. I was really suprised by that.
I felt bad that I was starting so small, but I wanted to start somewhere (can''t wait till graduation) and these H&A diamonds seem so unique and I have never heard of anyone having one IRL.

Like how I about called the years it would take me lol?

Yes, excellent guess!

It is kinda hard to believe that the average really isn''t that big, especially around here, lol. But it''s true. And you are totally on the right track in your thinking. The stone you''re getting should be SO sparkly and bright, that it truly will outshine a good amount of bigger diamonds.

And yeah, I''ve never seen one in real life, except for another PS''ers.

She''s gonna love it!

Ryon, the last stone I purchased was a .52ct H&A from JA. I''m so happy with the stone that I''m about to get another from them.

Congrats on your puchase. I''m sure it''s beautiful

Well you "thought" right. Great job, and worth the wait!

Ryon- I''ve been keeping an eye for your thread on here, I"m so excited for your new stone to arrive after having to send your aqua back. Any idea on what setting you will put it in?

Thanks all of you guys who are from the colored stone section are so nice :)
I was going with a knife edge 18kt WG setting from JA. She loves these, so the focus will be on that amazing diamond. When I upgrade I might do 2 small pink saphires on each side :)

Looks to be mine thanks for all the help guys, but you can still give me your opinion on the numbers. I think they look great.

Ya, the numbers are good. Don''t worry about the numbers once you have the IS image and the real stone to see for yourself. :p The numbers are just average that we use to roughly gauge how well the stone will perform, IS and seeing it yourself in all lighting conditions will trump whatever the numbers tell you. :P

Thanks I was just making sure, I needed to hear that lol.

The IS was one of the best ones I have seen. You told me the other had "very very slight leakage" so i found one with no leakage =)

Im sure the stone will be perfect and she will love it.

Jim was great to work with in my experience. Very honest, great prices, and great customer service!

What are you planning for the setting?

Thanks, I will post pictures around a week from now when its on her finger =)

So I just got the ring in today (sorry can''t take pictures shes got the camera)

It is insane!
I spent the first bit amazed by the quality and how much the stone shined. I was in a dark room and it was shiny as could be.
Then I had the idea to try and see it in different lighting (like they do on GOG). So I took it outside and it got super white! Then I got it in sunlight and all the colors you could imagine jumped right out of the diamond (don''t plan on doing this again it hurt my eyes badly haha).
I have to admit it looks good in all forms of light, and I checked for light leakage (by blocking the light from entering the pavillion and the stone had no dark areas) I learned this from watching the JA new york diamond video here on pricescope!

It took me a minute to actually figure out how to use the H&A viewer, but the arrows pattern is perfect.

Overall the only complaint I could have is the prongs don''t look very safe. They are not level with one another and I may have to get it re-set =(

Besides this minor issue, the ring is stunning and by far the best diamond I have ever seen (can''t tell you have many ideal diamonds I have called in at local B&M stores to look at)

Thanks to JA and I highly recommend them to anyone!
