I am considering buying a cushion cut from James Allen but I am scared because I''m always a little uneasy ordering offline. However, I do think the pricescope discount is a big pro. How do you use that discount? I''m still a little confused.

And I''m still new to this so I''m also wondering how you reply to other people''s posts and add second and third posts afterwards. All I know how to do is post a completely new topic. Help!

Welcome to pricescope! Replying to someone is just as painless as creating a new topic. Once you''re in a thread, you''ll see the Reply button right next to the New Topic button. Just click reply, and you''re set. If you want reply to a particular person and quote them, just click on the Reply button in there message, and then hit the Quote button that''s right above the textbox you use for entering your message.

I''m sure other will know more about the JA discount.

Hi Jess!

The Pricescope discount can depend I think on the vendor, if it is offered, I believe you need to pay by bank wire transfer to get it, but it is best to ask JA concerning any discounts and if they offer it, they are very nice and will be pleased to help you. If you can, post the link to the cushion and any pics of the stone if available, so we can help you with it if you would like us to. Cushions are very hard to judge by the numbers so this would be very useful, and also an Idealscope image if you can get it. ASET are generally preferred for fancy shapes, but JA don't supply those images to the best of my knowledge.

All you do to reply to posts is to hit reply, then the reply box comes up, type what you want then hit submit. To quote other posts, click on the post which has the text you want to quote by hitting reply, then to the left you will see the quote box come up by the reply box, click it, then the text you want to quote will come up in your reply box. Then you can edit as you wish.

To get the JA pricescope discount you have to ask for it while ordering. Have no fears of ordering from JA, they are a great company and many here have personally purchased from them (including myself) and have been very happy.

Actually I think the discount is even easier to get nowadays. I think you might just need to have clicked on a JamesAllen diamond linked from the diamond search on this site. So once you have either the appropriate james allan or pricescope cookie you all set and don''t need to search from this site. Whenever I goto james allan and click more info on any diamond the discount is automatically calculated. It does not require a bank transfer by the way.

As zerj just posted, the discount is pretty much automatic as long as you got there from Pricescope. However, it wouldn''t hurt to mention when you place your order if you are at all worried about it.
