Hi, they are around .60 tcw so much more than the studs so I feel I am getting much more "value" for my money. However the diamond quality is not as good as they would have been in studs so there''s a bit of a compromise. I am only happy with the diamonds because they are coming through BGD - had they been straight off an online site I probably wouldn''t have been comfortable with the drop in colour/clarity. Hopefully it wont be too obvious though, and as I''ve never seen the studs in person I''ll honestly never know and neither will my mother! She will be thrilled to have a bit of sparkle ...

Price wise I''m not sure sorry KTiceRN only as I''m not sure what the price on the WF ones are. I did look at them originally but my sister didn''t like that setting (however I actually would have been very happy with them) We did exceed our budget a little in the end though anyway and these were definitely more than the studs and closer to the WF flower cluster pricing. She''s an awesome mother though so she''s worth it.

You''ve all been very helpful, so thanks very much.

Wow You did GOOD! I was going to second the huggie versus the stud; my mother from now on only wants either huggies or french wire type earrings, no studs because she is in her 60''s and tired of dropping studs/backings when trying to put them on. Those look gorgeous! If they are lower clarity I can''t tell from the pic, they look very substantial as well.

thanks Part Gypsy - my mum did exactly that last week as she was thinking to herself "now, don''t drop this down the plug hole" so now it''s been pointed out by a few I am thinking this was definitely a good idea. I just can''t wait to have them in my hot little hands ... I wonder if she''d mind if I give them a whirl before handing them over??!

and here they are ...

and another showing how delicate they are. they''re smaller than I expected but that''s better as they truly are "huggies" rather than hoops.

I should have mentioned that last one is on a 5 cent piece (Australian money) which is our smallest coin
