I''ve done lots of reading from other posts on the subject. I know that color is kind of a personal prefrence. (i.e. some can really tell others can''t) What I''m wondering is if a superior cut will hide a lot of the color. I''ve been looking at superbcert and many of there stones score VERY well on the HCA however many are J in color. Has anyone out there purchased a very well cut stone that has a lower color grade? Any pictures that I could see?

Color is not going to affect "performance" if by performance you mean light return. The problem, if it is a problem, is that stone will have a slight yellow tint. Some people like that because it looks "warmer". I like the cold crisp icy effect of whiter stones. Check out the post with the photo comparing the D to the I and you will get a better idea . . .

You wanna see an absolutely gorgeous 3 stone, all J color stones ring??? This ring is absolutely gorgeous!

Here's the thread. Just edit copy/edit paste.

Look thru pics in the "Show Me the Ring" portion of the Forum. You'll see an assortment of diamond colors mounted in a variety of metals.

Well cut diamonds face up much whiter and brighter than the actual color grade.

What size are you looking at & what type of setting? Critical questions.
