Hi guys,

I've missed ya all...I've returned from my pit but with good excuses for staying away so long...

Since my last visit here on PS, I've actually been pregnant and gave birth prematurely to a beautiful baby boy. Our little man was born at 26 week gestational age. His lowest weight was 860 grams and he was in the NICU from December 31st to April. I was an emotional wreck at first (many up's and down's) but quickly adjusted to the Preemie life and the NICU became my second home. What an incredible journey...Fast forward to today and our little man is a Pork Chop of 18 pounds! He is thriving and babbling...to cute for words. I've attached a few pictures...

I'm happy to be back and wanted to say hi to the oldies and the new members. I will see you guys in the RockyTalky section...with talk of a possible reset for my stone...

And of course there must be a bling shot as well...

another pic of monkey - what a touch guy!

We joke about his eyes all the time. Mine is green & DH is hazel brownish. Grandpa on my side had baby blue peepers.
His eyes have changed since the above shot...it's a greenish blue now. Latest pic...

awww what an amazing little guy; he is gorgeous!!!  I am a momma to 2 preemies too. thanks for sharing pics, he is a doll!!! :appl:

Wow, what a handsome little guy! I'm glad everything has worked out and he is a healthy little guy. It had to be hard seeing him in the hospital. But now he has gained weight and filled out so well. He looks so different now. Congratulations to your new edition. I bet he keeps you busy ;)

Hi Skippy, So great to see your name...I remember 'Skippy'!

Hope your Preemie journey has also been a good one. I'm thankful every day for our little miracle.

Thanks CharmedOne, it was difficult but the nurses in the NICU were lovely. I was on auto pilot, the days flew by... I think the hardest part of having a Micro-preemie is not knowing if he will survive and after that if he will have any physical or mental difficulties. We still worry but so far he is healthy and strong. I also found it difficult to pump BM every 2 hours while my baby was so far away from home...it was the only thing I could do and it was my mission!

I remember you too; one of the most beautiful weddings ever!! it is a good one; we feel blessed as I am sure you feel that way too! so good to see you and see these beautiful pictures!!!

Thanks Skippy you are lovely. I need to play catch-up around here. PS looks different as well. Fancy!!!

It's great that you could do that. It makes you feel like you were a part of his maturing progress. I wish I could have BF my boys. Oh well. BTW beautiful bling ;)

Don't feel bad. We do what we can and where we can...Right from the start it has been a battle for me. I think when you pump your supply is hugely effected...it's just not natural to pump. I desperately wanted to be like the other momma's that could BF but in the end I did what I could do for our peanut!

Awww, what a beautiful little guy! It's amazing how strong and tough such tiny little people can be - we had a preemie as well.

Thank you for sharing your story. He is a beautiful blessing! And you're a wonderful mom!

Thank you all for your messages of well wishes. I feel the love from the PS gals! Big Hug! Also to all the Preemie mom's & little ones - Great work! We're all stronger than we think. I must say that I have become a total softy mommy. I have a huge appreciation for mom's with sick children. If you're out there...I pray for you!

Silly guy!

Oh my goodness, he is the sweetest little guy!! SO glad that he is doing so well! My heart goes out to you for going through such a difficult time, but you made it through and so did your precious boy! You, your dh and your sweet boy are all so strong - Thank you so much for sharing your very inspirational story!

Thanks ello, its was hard to deal with. But he is coming along so well. He is 4 now and keeps me busy! Wait til you little guys get mobile LOL watch out ;)

Welcome back, ello. What a cute little guy. Glad he's doing well after having a rough start.

Oh wow, beautiful story!! :appl:

Welcome back ello, your little guy is absolutely divine!!!!

Why thank you, it's great to be back! I need a little mommy time.

We went to the zoo on Sunday and the kid was having a really good time. He was kicking & babbling happily in his Baby B. Carrier. Hanging like a sack of taters! :D It seems that he's way happier when we're out and about. Anyone out there's 6 month (corrected age) kid happier away from home? Maybe he's bored with his toy selection - ha ha! I guess I could learn new dance moves...

Monkey see monkey do!

Wow - you, Mr. Ello, and Mr. Ello Jr have had a long journey! The last pic made me snort out loud ::)

He does have such striking eyes! My nephew has eyes like that - a bright blue that you can see from miles away... and he has eyelashes TDF, totally wasted on him 8)
