It''s time to think of the wedding band!

I''m not sure, but he knows my penchant for skinny bands.

I love the ideas of number 5 and number 4, in that order. Any way you can swing more than one option?

Hmm ... will 3 plus my e-ring be too busy?

i think that it will be too busy. me thinks you will be happy with the thin bands.

gwendolyn,
Luckily, depending on the options, I can.

crown1,
Do we have the same taste? Or, do you just know mine very well?

Sorry to bump up an old thread. I tried on two eternities on either side of my e-ring today, and it was too busy. What do you think of just one eternity?

What about trying on a larger-stoned single eternity (Michael C Fina had a FANTASTIC very low set one)? Or maybe just get a single thin eternity for now (a la Diamondseeker)?

Well, as you know, I wear one with mine and I LOVE it! I think two can take away from the center stone whereas one still allows the diamond in the e-ring to be the center of attention.

Firstly, your ER is fab. I like option 4. that would be more versatile.

I''m inclined to do the latter. I don''t want to overshadow my e-ring.

Ok, we can be set twins.

Thanks! FI suggested getting yellow and pink eternities to wear as a set when I don't want to wear my e-ring. Leon thinks that would look like stoplight. He can be so funny!

Silly girl...why would ever not want to wear your e-ring??? Just kidding! I love the idea of colored eternity bands for versatility. I actually talked to Leon about doing a ruby and diamond one like this one...

You could get one like this for other days...

I completely agree.

Me too...the more the merrier!

Will you be getting one then? What will your e-ring look like?

It''s an ERD antique-y cushion cut in a tiger007g-like setting! Still undecided about the wedding band. Leon told me not to get the matching done at the same time so I could figure out how I wanted the set to look.

Should be ready in about 2 weeks. I asked if he could finish it before graduation (which is May 18).

When will your goodies be ready? Maybe we can go together?

I came very close to getting a cushion myself. I'd love to join you, but my rings won't be ready for quite a while.

Just posted in the other thread...I think it really depends on what you want. It is a GORGEOUS dress, in all the colors, for sure!

ETA: And feel free to tag along! I'm sure Leon wouldn't mind seeing you!

I think a thin diamond band would look best with your e-ring, and now that you have that as an option, that is the one I vote for.

Decisions, decisions. But, I think I''m leaning in your direction.

I love the look of a thin eternity band--an added dash of sparkle but not too much! I think that would look amazing with your engagement ring, Harriet. Would you want the shank to be the same mm as your engagement ring?

I also really love the stand-alone ring you picked out. Oh, and you may have mentioned it earlier and I just forgot, but for your eternity, are you looking only at RBs or are you considering other shapes as well? Just asking, since I''m a total sucker for asscher eternities...

I think that''s perfect. ds''s set is stunning.

Gwendolyn,
Yes, I would. I wonder if it can be made so thin. My e-ring's shank is 1.5-6mm. I'd want a micropave ring, so it'd have to be made of rbs, am I right?

Ellen,
It sure is.

Aye, I think you''re right. I''ll bet Leon would be able to make it that small, but even if it would have to be a little bigger, I think it would look amazing. I''m too hard on my rings (and too afraid) to own any micropave myself, but I absolutely love the look of it. It will be incredible.

Do you mind if I ask you a question about your engagement ring? This is off-topic, and for that I apologize, but I don''t think it warrants a new thread. You mentioned that the shank is 1.5-6mm. Do you know if that''s the usual size for Leon''s classic solitaire?

Not that I''d turn down an asscher eternity.

Not at all. I don''t think so. I asked him to make it as thin as possible. Diamondseeker''s, e.g., is 2mm I believe. Is that the setting you have in mind?

Gwen, I read a post somewhere recently that said Leon "normally" makes shanks about 2mm wide.
