It''s time to think of the wedding band!

The other half asked me what I wanted. He'd like a Cartier rolling ring for himself. Here are a few of my options:

1. The rolling ring in pave (but I'll have to wear my e-ring separately).

2. http://www.artofplatinum.com/4images/details.php?image_id=366 (but in pink, white and yellow; e-ring to be worn separately).

3. http://www.artofplatinum.com/4images/details.php?image_id=296 (Leon says it will sit flush with my e-ring).

4. Micropave eternities to wear on both sides of my e-ring.

Any other ideas? Thanks!

Harriet, I just started a thread with the budget version of this same question at the same time you started this thread, hee hee...

I love love love option 3, especially since you can wear it with your e-ring, but I also like option 4. Any of those choices will be beautiful though! I just like the idea of both rings on the same finger, but that is just me, either option is good.

Thanks, ladies. One plus about #3 is that it is substantial enough to wear singly as well.

My first choice would be #3 because wearing the e-ring and w-band would be an important factor to me...and that ring is gorgeous alone!

My second choice would be #4. I love the look of an eternity on either side of the e-ring.

your ering, btw and love that the DNA twist works as a stand alone or with your ering, but would also toss in a sleek platinum band (like the skinniest Lucida WB) to wear with or without an ering. I love Nigella Lawson''s skinny platinum band that she wears without an ering.

- so understated, elegant and classic. The single micropave bands that Leon has on his sight are lovely too, but sometimes I think they''re too thin to wear alone. Is all of the above an option???

Another number 4 here. I think the fun funky bands can come later as anniversary presents, but eternity stackers will always be useful and classic. I think you can wear them alone if you want to, weat them on opposite sides of your e-ring, or wear two stacked with your e-ring. All of these options would be beautiful and classic.

I am wearing my wedding band separate from my e-ring. Although someone brings up the good point of where to put the RHR''s..

simple, classic and elegant and keeps your e-ring "center stage"
plus, you could also wear the bands on their own too

I like #3 because it''s beautiful and can definitely stand alone...but #4 for the versatility - you can never go wrong with stacking bands. This really is a tough call...

I am getting the tri colored gold with all white pave diamonds for our anniversary. The SA told me that since it cannot be sized, and should not be too big, I need to decide what finger I will wear it on. As I am a lefty, my left hand is bigger, and the ring did fit on my left but was snugger than I would like. I am not sure I love it as a wedding band, since it can never be sized you could not wear it if you swell etc. I plan to wear my on the right hand, and if I do, my emerald cut band would not be on or it would be on my left hand, instead of my stone. I want to wait a bit til the weather is warmer to just be certain of size though I tried on two sizes, he liked the smaller one and said it fit fine since it had some rolling room when it was on. I think it makes a great rhr but might be limiting as a wedding band and is not subtle for your conservative work environment, which I recall being an issue for you in the past with jewelry items.

), I''m going to go with #3- the DNA band because it can be worn on the left hand allowing for RHR and it''s a little different. Gorgeous choices... no bad choice here.

I think you have to have a thin plat band no matter what.

Then I like the three thin bands, not sure about getting all three colors of gold but...I might get two bands of white and one of yellow OR pink...then you can use the two whites one on either side of your ring and the colored band for when you are going to wear the three alone on your right hand.
