It's done!

My remake is done, and I think I love it! David will be sending it out today with deliver tomorrow. I can't wait!! We did a couple of modifications for safety, wider shank in general, the original was about 3.5-tapering to about 3, this one is closer to 4 all the way around. The style of the head as been changed, again for safety of the main stone, as apparently, the box store hadn't even properly secured it in the first place! It's not quite as high as the original, but I actually think I like the proportions on this better, it, again, looks safer to me. The sidestones are also tucked down just a tiny bit to reduce the chance of knocking them around. Overall I think it has the chunky look I am going for. It's a little more "gappy" than the original, but I have no doubt after a bit a wearing I won't even notice.
I can't wait to slip it on my finger, my finger has been so lonely without my rings!

YAY!!! So glad it's on your hand and that you've got a ring that meets your approval. I think it's awesome that David Klass was so willing to work with you, so many just give up and won't keep going.

I am so happy you are finally getting the ring problem resolved! Many of us can relate and it is a great relief to finish a project like this! I think DK does a great job and am glad he was able to make your new ring!

I'm still waiting on it...it was supposed to be shipped for delivery Saturday, but, instead was scheduled for today...and sent to house where no one is home to sign for it. David said he would change the deliver to my office, but it doesn't look like that happened and it's now "out for delivery" to my house

Knowing it is so close to me, and has been since Saturday morning, and not being able to just go get it, is killing me!

It's here!

Horrible pictures, but...I absolutuly adore it. The only thing is that it's a tad on the big side of a 4.25, so it's a bit floppy. I have some silicone ring guard at home that I used on another ring. I think I may put a bead of that on and see if it helps for the rest of the winter and then if it's still a little floppy in the summer see about a sizing bead.
But I am sooo relieved. I can't believe how much better I feel having it back where it belongs, and how very very close to a duplicate DK was able to get it! I am truly amazed and thrilled with it!

What a GREAT ending to your journey!!! It looks beautiful! Seriously, my rings are very loose right now, but that is fine with me because I want them to fit comfortably in the summer. Glad you are waiting to assess that in hot weather!
