I finally did it last night! It could not have gone better. Thursday night while she was at work I went and talked with her parents and got permission, then last night I asked. We had dinner with my parents (who were in on it), then they went to the back room to "wrap presents". I took her down by the tree (with ring box already pre hidden in the branches), started giving her a hug and told her all that I wanted to say, then reached into the tree and got down on one knee. She thought I was joking and was in denial till I opened the box. It was great!!!! Thank you all for your help and input. Without this sight, I believe I could have made a terrible mistake in my choice of rings. Thanks again!
