I need your help to find my glasses which have gone missing {and were quite expensive and are only 5 months old, I don't want to replace them}.

I last had them on Christmas Eve, I was in the tv room on my computer before my son came for dinner. I put them where I usually put them as I only need them for reading. I can't find them ANYWHERE. We have gone thru everything--torn the furniture apart, emptied all bags, recycling, garbage, laundry, linen closet, bedrooms, EVERYWHERE. The husband has gone thru the garbage, unwrapped the food, laundry baskets. We are stumped.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

No psychic skills but we are in the same predicament w DH losing his readers as well.
These are things we've done , but w no luck...
Gone thru shirts sweater and jacket pockets. Opened all books on his desk. Looked in nearby drawers and cupboards...then we followed his daily tracks- all kitchen drawers and cupboards, his car, his closet and his computer bag for work. Next will be the basement then crazy places- fridge freezer laundry room. It's so frustrating! I hope you have better luck!

in a vase, in a bowl, on top of a book in the bookcase

Look by the door that your son entered. You could have taken them off and placed them on a book case? Is there a nook by the door? Look there.

I lose mine a lot too, so annoying.. Hoping you find them soon.

Could they have fallen down the back of the computer desk somehow?

Hi Amber,

Sorry, but it just isn't working for me anymore. I can't find things, the last few attempts have been pretty dismal.

I think the ability returned from whence it came . . . 8)

Islander--sorry to hear your powers have left you. Hope it's just temporary..maybe it's blinded by your new bling?

Enerchi, VapidLapid, Kaleigh and HOT-thanks for the suggestions--believe me we've looked EVERYWHERE! The husband has even gone thru the garbage twice and refuses to take it out to the curb until they are found...he even looked thru the trays of ziti and parm! I found a ring I had misplaced and a lipstick I thought I left in the store.

I've done two St. Anthonys.

Okay, this might sound completely out there, but sometimes when I can't find my glasses, it turns out its because I'm wearing them. So, without further ado, do you ever take them off, but push them up on your forehead or on top of your head? Could it be that you had them on that way for a while, and when you went to bed for the night your took them off? So instead of by the computer or the front door, maybe they're on your bureau/nightstand/bathroom counter? If they were there and you didn't realize it, could they have gotten tangled in the shirt you were wearing and ended up in the dirty laundry basket?

Forgive me if these are off the wall...just trying to think creatively :praise: :saint:

Once my husband lost his glasses and we could not find them anywhere. He is normally a bit on the forgetful side, so we figured they'd turn up, but didn't, and we replaced them. Months later, I went to switch out DH's empty kleenex box on his nightstand with a new one, and lo and behold, the glasses were in the box. He'd set them on top of the kleenex box, and they fell right in the slot. When I told my DH where I'd found them, he went, "Oh, yeah..." He now leaves them on the bathroom counter before coming to bed.

I hate to admit it, but I've done this too...

Thanks for the suggestion--but I never push them onto my head, it messes up the shape and then they don't sit right on my face. But I went thru ALL the clothes I was wearing that night. :((

Did you check your makeup drawer? Kitchen pantry? Bathroom? Did you pack up Christmas decorations and accidently pack them in with that stuff?

My dh looses his glasses all the time. It really makes me hope I never need glasses since I already regularily lose my car keys! Don't need even more frustration.

Best of luck! Sending you glasses dust!

Do you have something with a very pronounced wood grain? Light and dark brown, swirled together?

Uupdate: I FOUND THEM YESTERDAY!!!!

I woke up yesterday feeling strangely serene and confident that I would find them...and after breakfast decided t check the bedroom yet again--putting clothes away, shaking everything out. Nothinging. Then I moved the trunks I have at the foot of my bed away yet again, cawled a bit so I could reach further under the bed and--there they were!--apparently I had them in the pocket of the shirt I was wearing, they fell out and landed under the bed far enough from the reach of both me and the husband during our previous searches!!!!!

So now I'm giving in to age and going to the drugstore and getting one of those chains and will begin to wear them around my neck when I don't need them...something I said I'd never do.....

Anyway, thanks to everyone for their suggestions!

yippee!!! that's good news! I hate that feeling of losing something (other than weight - duh!!) and knowing it is somewhere... calling out to ME!

Glad you found them!
