Is your IQ higher than your SO?

We''ve never taken IQ tests so I don''t really know. I had a much easier time in school than he did, but that doesn''t mean he''s not smart. He struggles with languages, spelling, grammar and all that, and that''s pretty much why he struggled. Take that out of the equation and he''s brilliant; he finished first of his class in his industrial design course. He has amazing spatial, 3D and visual perception. I''m the opposite... I do great with languages, reading, studying and all that, but my spatial perception is pretty bad, and I can''t draw to save my life.

I believe my IQ is 136 (?). I was in the "gifted" program at school, which means your IQ is in the top 2% of the nation. My brother was also in this program, though not my sister.

My BF is very smart, but I'm pretty sure my IQ is higher .. and I couldn't care less

DH and I have pretty high IQs, but it was measured many many years ago.

DH is a PhD nuclear physicist and I have a masters in microbiology and an MBA in finance.

In 8th grade DH attended high school for math and science and in high school was taking college science and math courses. I skipped a couple of grades in school (my sister was not happy about this) because I could absorb all the material as soon as it was presented. I was extremely bored in school and needed a lot to stimulate me mentally (plus I was somewhat bossy) and would often tell the teachers how and what they should be teaching.

DD also has a very high IQ and she is very strong in mathematics and has been in the gifted program since 2nd grade and is currently a junior in hs.

I don''t know. Mine is pretty high, not MIT material, but Im no dope. The thing about DH and I is that we share intelligence. He is very smart when it comes to equations and math type things where I am smarter when it comes to vocabulary and overall a broader knowledge of things. When we team up we can figure out anything.

SO is fairly intelligent. We don''t discuss IQ scores. In fact, no one knows mine except my brother--he scored 2 points higher than me--neither of us felt competitive about it, we just think it''s cool that our scores were so close.
