Is your ID Jewelry shared prong eternity sturdy?

Two years ago, I bought a shared prong half eternity from them (love their customer service) and I had issues with loose stones within 2 months, so I eventually upgraded to a 4 prong 5 stone ring. I love my 5 stone, but I really miss the shared prong eternity look. Maybe my ring was just a fluke and my next one would hold up...

I'm wondering how other PSers' eternities are holding up?

With the numerous IDJ customers here, I'm sure I can get a few replies! :wavey:

I had a shared prong eternity from IDJ and never had a problem with it. I wore it almost 24/7 while running around with a 2 year old (except for dishes, cleaning and showers).

Thank you armywife! I'm thinking I just got unlucky, because I only wore mine out of the house. I'm so tempted to get another one!

I say go for it. I would just contact Yuketiel and express your concerns after your previous experience. I am sure he will make certain it doesn't happen again, he is pretty awesome like that.

I've had my shared prong 8 stone band since February and is solid as a rock. Sure, its only 5 months old, but no issues. I agree with Armywife- call up IDJ and speak to Yekutiel and see what he recommends.

Good luck!

Thank you Enerchi!

I think someone on PS got an eternity that was 4 prong (not shared) a couple of years ago. Have you considered that?
I'll look to see if I can find the thread. I thought it was pretty.

Edit ...so its not an eternity. Looks to be a 9 stone or so but looks like an eternity since it gives such good coverage for
gemgirl. Anyway, I dont think the extra metal takes away from the look. Still a gorgeous ring and would look great in
a full eternity.

tyty333, I've been going back and forth on getting a 4 prong eternity (well, it would be a half), but I've been considering 5 pointers, which I tried on at Birks and it was A LOT of prongs. Compare that to my 5 stone which has 15 pointers and there's clearly more stone presence than prong presence.

gemgirl's is 8.5 pointers and she had hers custom made by IDJ I believe, it's very nice. Maybe if I got 7 or 10 pointers I would go for 4 prongs in their stock setting. But I don't know that I want bigger! Ha, the dilemma.

I have had no structural problems with my ring from ID--but I've only been wearing it for a year.

Thank you hmr mama, a year is pretty good!
