Well, it needs to be clean from regular viewing distance. I looked at some videos comparing all the color (D-O) of the diamond and find that there's really not much difference from D-I, especially when facing up, so H should be fine for me. Also, the jeweler said that this is a H&A. How would I verify that? Do I just use the Idealscope with the diamond facing down? Oh, and the price was about $9.5k.
Yes I got a scan of the GIA certs, that''s where I got the numbers from. The pictures were taken by the jeweler. I am going there Monday to look at it in person. As for H&A, do I just look at the diamond upside down with the Idealscope? $9.5k sounds about right?
So here's the update. I went to ID Jewelry in NYC today to meet with Yekutiel (I've been working with him on the diamond for a week) so I could see the diamond in person. I took some pictures of the Heart and Arrow and also the IdealScope. The diamond looks fantastic. But before I show you the picture let me tell you the service level from Yekutiel at ID Jewelry. He tried to find me the best diamond he has at my budget and give me the best price possible because I am from pricescope (he will beat those online merchant prices and he's local so it's a big plus for me). But since I am armed with so much information from pricescope, I ended up choosing my own diamond from different merchants and asked him for his opinions. But from his inventory he found me this beautiful H&A and right at my budget (the one on this post). He answered all my emails very quick (even at 10pm) and even offered to talk to me about my questions (it was like 10:30pm, and we did talk!). I just wanted everyone to know that Yekutiel should be on your list if you want to shop diamond locally in NYC (he ships too). Well, enough said here's the pictures I took, and I am going to have pictures of the ring next week when I get it.
