I like the look of this Etienne Perret ring, and the price seems reasonable.
1. Is this setting safe? I like the idea tha a small part of the diamond is not enclosed but at the same time I am worried that the pavilon and tip area might get damaged because it is exposed.
2. Is it too modernish for an OEC?
I would like an antique settings for the OEC, or even a reproduction, but I have found many to be prong set, ornate and very high. I am looking for something simple and low set with no extra diamonds. I thought a bezel would be a good idea also to protect the OEC since I wouldn't want it to get damaged.
Any other ideas? I've looked at Fay Cullen (too busy, high set and ornate) and AntiqueEngagementRings. I found a pretty flower type setting that Leigh is currently making a reproduction but wonder if it is safer to get a bezel type setting.
